Thanks for explanation!

But I've heard that devices that are meant to mine bitcoins are much much better than the graphics cards. I cant give you specific device because i cant rememeber. Im thinking like bitcoin miners. I think you know what im thinking off. So why to buy graphics card wich cost 200-300 dollars when you can get bitcoin miner. Maybe miner is more expensive.

Transformer is drawing as much power as he needs. If you have 1M Watts transformator, if your load is 500W on the secondary, transformator will draw 500W from the primary (your wall) so the bill would stay the same. Wattage on every PSU (nubmer) is wattage that transformator could handle, on the secondary of course.

(again, useles comment)

List me one Intel cpu that is better than AMD fx-8350 wich cost around the same. Good luck with that. And i dont see why people are comparing single core performance , todays programs/games are using more cores than single. Why dont we just making single core cpu's with the best of the best single core performance? Beacuse it is stupid, so it is comparing single core performance.

But price could be high, so when they release 300 series maybe they'll put 290 prices down. Lets hope for that situation. R9 300 series could get a price around 980, maybe even higher than that.

Just to clear out, transformators in general, are drawing (always) power as much as they need. Dont want to be arogant, just to "teach" you if i can say in that way.

Again thank you!

You have gone a little bit personal here. I've seen that EVGA card has problem with coil whine. And MSI has the best feedbacks. In the end, it depends on what you perfer better.

Actually, AMD started way back before Nvidia started their graphic cards. Nvidia draws less power, so maybe it stays cooler. Other than that, you will not make mistake if you will choose an AMD.

I will not agree that R9 285 is more powerfull. Lets get that away. List is solid and all components are great.

1) You dont really need. There should be one fan in front for the intake, and one on the back. Ofcourse it is better to have more airflow in the case but there is no need for that considering you will not overclock, or if you will, still no need.

2) Yes it is. There are lot of people that say watercooling is quieter but in lot of cases, they arent.

3) It is the same chip so performanse wise, no. But you shoud consider noise and heat. Some brands performanse better then the others. I would recommend that you go on Newegg and read rewievs about all brands of 960 and choose the best.

4) Nope.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "First Time Builder. Will This Build Work?"

First of all i made mistake. I did some research and XFX is really good card. Everything on this list is perfect for that money and there is no better solution (in my opinion). But if you could go to 700$, you could invest in better CPU, 8320 or 8350. With that procesors you will be emazed how good they are. But considering that you play League and WoW, there is no need for 83*0.

Please tell us your budget. I'm assuming you will do gaming so parts listed here are best for that money. I would choose Asus 280 because i've heard XFX runs loud. Please do more reseach about that.

Any resons that you have chosen liquid CPU cooler? I think that for that price, aircooled heatsinks would perform much better.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Is this a good gaming/editing/streaming pc?"

  • 1 point

Yeah it should be perfectly fine for the streaming, but for editing Intel would be a better choice. Considering you have 1000$ (if im right) budget, 8350 is really solid choice.

Also I think that for the 50$ you will have better performance with the aircooled coolers. Maybe I'm wrong, but please do little more research about that. If the corsair case has bad cable managment, liquid cooled CPU is better solution couse to the cables in the case that would stop the airflow. Cheers!

I totaly agree with pegoticos opinion. Especially with the futureproof part. And for the "futureproofing" I would stay with the 1x8 part because its easily upgradable later on, you just buy another stick.

For better cable managment I would suggest new case. But for that build, it shoud be fine. Only concern would be the dust. To be honest, Its not that big problem so nothing to be afraid about. Buy an air can and blow dust out every month. =)

90% of the games I would say. But if you want to spend 100$ more, you should buy Intel i5-4690k. It performs a few FPS in games more than fx-8350. You can see the difference in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20QPpIqo-YY

If you chose Intel, you must change the motherboard, hope you know that. :)
