Maybe he got a good deal on it. If you can get one for a good price, it usually slightly outperforms the RX 480 and is in general a very solid card at 1080p

I think I might. It goes into the back of the case and while it doesn't look awful, It's not as nice as I'd like it to be.

Thank you! It was very straightforward. I just installed it in the front with the fan facing the outside of the case and the radiator facing inward with the fan set to intake. Hope this helps!

I get to about 65-70 at stock after running aida 64 for 15 minutes. I know that the temps are safe but I just don't know if I'd be comfortable with them being any higher.

It's the 2m. I had to hide some of the LED's because it's too long. Get the 1m or you'll have a rough time haha

Thank you! For sure;) Temps are a bit high for my comfort while stress testing at stock so I think I might try applying some Arctic Silver thermal compound and see if that helps any

It breaks my heart when I see computer hardware being thrown out, I'm glad that you salvaged a decent computer for basic tasks out of these machines. +1 for re-purposing of old "broken" machines.

This build is quite nice indeed, though a bit puzzling. Did you consider going with a full ATX mobo or was there some reason you didn't? Why did you choose that PSU? Why did you go with a low profile CPU cooler, and is there a reason you felt you needed a locked i7 over an unlocked i5? Do you do other stuff with you computer that would largely benefit from hyper-threading? Sorry for all of the questions haha, I'm just curious.

Let's just say that I only get FPS in the 20s on DayZ in the city areas and I have an R9 390 with an i5 4690k. Terrible, terrible optimization indeed. I know this is late but still.
