Not with this build, no :) Ryzen all-in-one wonder..
Hey man! The spray painting isn't too hard really - you can use a primer + colour combined in the one spray can like the Rustoleum one which I used for the H7. This saves having to do two separate coats; i.e. one for the primer then a follow up for the colour coat.
Work in a well ventilated area - I had a painter's sheet on the garage floor to catch any overspray as well. You can place the piece you want to spray on a cardboard box. Nice smooth strokes from about 30cm away or so. Practice on a dummy item to get the hang of it - plastic spoons, cups, etc. Don't overdo the number of costs in one go. Multiple thin coats will yield much better results!
Drying times really is weather dependent - I was spraying over summer in Australia when it was 40degC. The bits dried in no time! Generally speaking I think it's dry to touch in a few hours so that you can move them around or reposition for further spraying. Best to leave overnight before installing :)
Rustoleum spray paint - primer and paint all in one :)
Haha with great patience!
Mentioned it in the build breakdown :) gpu pricing was super inflated at the time due to mining.
Hey man! Rustoleum 2x that comes with primer. Otherwise you may need a primer if you're going with different brands :)
I've used Rustoleum but just about any is ok. You'll want the high temp rated ones if you're going to be spraying heat sinks etc :)
Good ol spray paint and lots of tape!
Rustoleum 2x ultra cover spray cans mate :)
Thanks! Just a bit of pre-planning and patience. You do need a fair few combs though to keep it all in place :)
To be honest I dont think I could fit another in there from memory. 2.5" may be the way to go or run an external hdd if you need more storage?
Thanks for the kind words!
PHWOARRR... great effort!
+1 for the colour theme and cable work :)
Cheers! Took forever but so worth it :)
Great stuff.... featured spot is well deserved! Great use of a case that some have said is unforgiving for hard piping especially if it's your first! Grats on feature :)
What would MacGyver do....?
I had to LOL hard at this.... +1
Hey mate! It's another custom acrylic piece, cut to size and spray painted with custom vinyl work.
Rustoleum spray paint. Paint + primer all in one :) makes life easier!
Mix of gloss and a satin clear to give me the finish I was after.
Grats on successful first build! I reckon you pulled it off well :)
+1 for originality and sheer ability to have pulled this off!
Great effort and job well done for a first build!
Cheers for the support mate. I've messaged PCPP to try and clarify :) watch this space.
Oh wow.. its dropped off the list of featured builds :(
Cheers buddy! That's great to hear :)
And that's AUD$ too which translates to more like $60 USD!
Hey oscar - the pcpartpicker price is a bit off. The thermaltake unit cost me just over $100. :)
Bit of Evangelion going on here...! +1
Ahhh I get you now!!! Hahaha, cheers for the clarification!
I'm very proud of it too haha! Thanks :)
Hey thanks for the kind words! The Inwin cases are great - fantastic value and looks for what you pay. Just watch out for the bottom fans with the 301c; the fans mount really close to where your USB and misc. mobo connections are towards the bottom end of board. I found it easier to save the bottom fans for last as you can use it to hide a fair bit of your cabling :) good luck!
I reckon the 24pin cable is what I'm proudest of in the build! Cheers mate!
Lol but why! Then the ugly cooler would ruin the look of your beast computer haha! The H7 is such a great unit - well priced, decent cooling capacity and sweet looks. Thanks for the feedback :)
Haha yeah I know!! So happy.. big achievement for me! :) :) :)
Thanks mate, appreciate the compliments!
Wahahaha my day is made....!!!! Time to celebrate. I'm inspired to build another now...
Its actually a Levorg :) need the wagon for the family. Thanks for the compliments!
Hahaha I'd +1 any build that showcases an STi. Watch this space - tempted to do a subaru build next....
I was honestly going to go first gen Ryzen 5 with a Galax Sniper 1050Ti in the beginning. The white led lights on the GPU fans put me off lol. That and I would have had to fork out an extra $275 for it!
Very acceptable for 1080p :) have not tried streaming as it's not something I'm into unfortunately but I'd say that it would be fine!
Shhh, the Mrs. will hear you..
Makes Me Feel Good Too...!!
Lol good spotto. It's actually a Levorg STi :)
I'd be honoured if it made the featured cut!!!
Thanks for the compliment :)
Here's to hoping!
Haha, thanks... the other PC is my main gaming / day-to-day unit.
