I see you ventured to MicroCenter
Is the riser cable the case comes with long enough to be able to flip the gpu to the shroud is facing the glass on a fe card?
Wow, I love the design of your case!! Is the psu hiding behind the vertical gpu? If so that's a really clever design! The only critique I have is that since (I'm guessing) there isn't any room behind the back panel for cable management, some of the psu cables, namely the cpu 8-pin, (though sexy and sleeved) have awkward/unsightly runs. Still though, fantastic work on the case overall
Thanks so much! I don't need anything thicker than a slim rad because I'm not overclocking! :D
What's the clearance between the gpu & the front fan? I'm asking b/c I may be doing a build similar to this and I want to see if there is enough room for a slim 120mm rad.
The gpu was open box at microcenter
Yes, it works just fine. Now if I ever decide to OC, then 450w won't be enough. But I'm not OCing, so I'm good
The build he submitted was $902.91
The edited build I proposed was $916.11
He'd be spending $13.20 more for a case that's much smaller, twice the ram and a better gpu.
"Corsair SF 450W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply and Silverstone Sugo SG13B Mini ITX Tower Case are not compatible"
The sg13 is compatible with sfx power supplies, but they're held in with 2 screws. That's why I added the sfx to atx bracket at the bottom.
"The Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB TURBO Video Card length of 267mm exceeds the Silverstone Sugo SG13B Mini ITX Tower Case maximum of 266mm."
There is a hold at the front of the case that allows slightly longer graphics cards to pass through the front of the frame. That's why this guy was able to stuff an MSI 970 in the sg13.
"Unable to verify the Silverstone Sugo SG13B Mini ITX Tower Case has sufficient mounting depth to support the Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm radiator."
I have an sg13, it fits
TFW you could've gotten a 1080
Couldn't you flip the rad so the tubing isn't under so much stress, then flip the block to accommodate for the extra tubing? Also why an sfx-l psu instead just regular sfx, because it seems like the extra length would make it that much harder to work with
I'm assuming you're talking about the 1080. I woke up one morning and checked the stock of 1080s at my local MC (like I did every morning), and lo and behold there was an open box one for 10% off of MSRP. I don't think I've ever gotten ready and been out the door so fast in my life.
No, you cant OC on this board. You need a "Z-series" motherboard (Z97).
No, not at all. It fits just fine. Just stick to cards with a reference pcb and you'll be fine. And I think a gigabyte g1 would fit, but don't quote me on that.
I forgot to put this in the description, but I didnt just go out an buy all this stuff. I've had everything except for the 1080 since almost christmas. Also, about a third of the stuff in this build was paid for with xmas or bday money.
It keeps everything cool but, I have no desire to OC, and even if I did, I couldn't because I dont have a Z-series board and a thin 120mm rad isnt enough to OC and see any difference
Where'd you get that external hdd enclosure??
Love the build mate! A couple things though, is that ssd at the secured to anything, or is it just kind of there? Also is the second pic, where is that tube going? I see it goes above the psu, then it looks like it disappears into oblivion. Still an amazing build!
I know, but i got this one a few years ago for $50 on black friday
It was a tight fit definitely, but no issues
Nice build! Though I find it a bit comical that your pc and monitor are like the same size lol
Great build! But, I see you want this to be a gaming rig... So why'd you go with an i5+760? Why not like fx-6300 + 960? Or i3 + 960?
Welcome to the master race brethren +1
pew :) +1
Black knight... Hearthstone refence?
I built my system 6 months ago and I have 1 tb hdd and a 250gb ssd. Theyre not old tech.mant people still use them in their builds
Just me, but If you wanted to do a "one drive for OS and one drive games" setup, I would've gotten a 1tb hdd in place of the 120gb ssd
other than that +1
When I saw the "starting it up for the first time, i honestly thought there was going to be a picture of an exploded computer...haha lol +1 nice build
WHAT THE HELL DO YOU NEED 12 MONITORS FOR?! I'm 14 and I wouldnt know what the hell to do w/ more than 2 monitors. I thought 6 monitors was fking crazy, but 12??! And besides what high school class requires a gtx 970 and 12 monitors?!
dem stickers is loooking fly af
I'm ugly and I'm proud!
calls it blue, uses team red card
LAWLZZZZ THAT FAN!!!! other than that nice build
+1 for that wallpaper
But dat wallpaper dough +1
Notice how I asked him if it was a gaming rig. And if he'd responded "no" I think, he would've disregarded the rest of the comment. And besides people don't always do their research and buy overkill CPUs and under-powered GPUs when they're building a gaming rig
+1 for build +infinite for purple
lololololololololol case more expensive the CPU
even if her wanted to play gc games, he has a powerful pc, cough cough emulator cough cough
are both builds identical?
why'd you get a 990fx mobo?
you are such a peasant
Why you get an aftermarket cooler if you arent gonna OC?
"Hey man, work hard, play hard. Am I right?"
-22 jump street
because I cant, I'm just tryin to help poeple
please tell me you're not related to ubbisoft XD
overall nice build +1
i second this
is this a gaming rig? if it is that cpu is waaaay overkill and that money could be reallocated to something like a gtx 980
+1 for build +7 for name
+1 for build +2 for case paint job
