Just uploaded the BIOS screenshots for the overclock settings. It's pretty simple. I found that staying under 1.35V was the best for me, I'm uncomfortable about getting close to 1.4V. I was able to achieve 4.6GHz pretty easily with my H100i GTX, though, I think I might be able to get bigger gains with it. I would try knocking it up to 4.2Ghz first and then moving up by 0.1GHz increments. 4.5GHz seems to be the average gain that you can get for most samples of this processor. Let me know how it goes!

Yeah mine too a few hours to get them sorted out. Once everything was set it was perfect!

Yeah totally. I actually just spent a couple hours last night re-doing all the cabling and took out a drive to put in another build. That freed up some space to put cables. With the way this case is, and seemingly most Mini ITX cases, there really isn't a lot of room to hide cables since the MOBO stack is lodged in the middle of the case and you need things to plug in on each side of the board. However, tried my best and I think it turned out pretty good. Wish there was more window to see the inside though, oh wait I can just open those doors when I wanna take a peep.

Any suggestions on lighting? Blue seemed like a good idea at the time, I'm having second thoughts though.

Yeah, I'll throw in a screen shot of my OC settings so you can see what I did. YMMV depending on the motherboard and the chip that you got (the chip lottery be damned lol). Skylake, K-processors, and Z170 mobos make overclocking dead easy, it's just surreal. It's not like the old days when I first got into building where it really seemed like you were venturing out into the unknown.

I picked one of these up from MicroCenter. Was the cheapest place that I could find one too so that was a good perk. I know NZXT has a few good options that they have. They are the rope LED type which is nice in terms of flexibility when mounting, but it does lack the traditional "cathode ray tube" effect that I was able to achieve with the option that I got. That may be something to consider too when it comes time to picking which light you want to go with. Cathode lights are a little more affordable than LEDs, but I think may have a better overall look aesthetically than LEDs, and well you know LEDs are just brighter more efficient and easier to works with.

Yeah I went with a really simple solution for lighting. I didn't want anything too elaborate or too complicated. Just a nice reliable white light that could light up the open spaces inside the case. Super slick build. I just finished a build in an S340 as well (AMD) and I have a Skylake build in a Corsair 380T. Cable management looks great! Love the white and black scheme going on there. What I found that I was able to do was feed the power cables through that slot that is next to the SSD, under the graphics card where the inputs are. I found that that made the build a little cleaner for me because only a short amount of cable needed to be fed through. Also it frees up some of the space of that cable management shield for other cables to come through.

Cheers brotha!

I thought about red LEDs and almost went that direction, but I really wanted something that looked clean, and also a color that would contrast well with the black box. Even though red is my favorite color, for some reason I just wasn't feeling it for this build. Red just seemed a little too dark (and maybe a little too common) for my liking. White for me just seemed real clean and it works well as just a way make it look like display case for all the hardware.

I actually thought about waiting on Zen and then building on a new platform (as I did with Skylake), however, I kind of wanted to build on this established platform before they got phased out and were completely obsolete (they almost are but they are still comparable to i3-i5s at the moment). Also, the deals that I found for it were just too good to pass up on the opportunity to build. I am hoping that polaris will be able to run in this rig. If not I'll settle for a discounted Fury X or Nano lol

Hey man,

No worries. You're no stranger. No I haven't been to Rocket Fizz. The place I got these from is a candy store called Bloom's Candy Shop. Pretty close to where I live. They carry a lot of different types of root beer to. I head that it's a lot like Rocket Fizz. Surprised that you noticed them from those pictures. That's some pretty good eyes.

Keep on sippin' that good ole' root beer!
