the backplate is made of some "soft" plastic material, so im able to squeeze the mounting things on to the motherboard. but the parts that go on the pump are hard af, so i cant make it fit to screw the pins. ill try again when i get home, ill let you know how it goes

hey bro, nice build! just got a few pieces to upgrade my pc. a mobo msi z370 gaming pro and a 8600k.. i've been trying to install my old watercooler on it, its a corsair h110, the same you have. but it seems to not fit, the cooler backplate and mount seems a tad bigger that the mobo mounting holes. did you experienced anything like that? should i just use force to make it fit on the mobo, lol? thanks in advance

hey bro! nice build! i have one of those old corsair water coolers too and i'm thinking about upgrading my pc to the new coffee lakes. the exact same you have actually. how the WC fits these new mobos and processors? on their website it says that only fits older models. i wasn't sure about this until i saw your build. do you need some kind of different mount or the original intel mount actually fits these new mobos em processors?
