Oh, I recently bought an M5A97 R2.0 and an AMD FX 6300. Is that bad? I should be getting the Cooler Master TX3 soon, as an aftermarket cooler.

I'm pretty sure that its just a Dominator thing. I could be wrong, but I've never heard of any other RAM doing that.

Hey, this looks a lot like the case was in the LinusTechTips budget build! It has that same weird metal thing over the PCI covers and everything. The only thing that really looks different is that there's no filtered front intake.

but i7s have hyperthreading, which you should probably want regardless of what you're using the PC for. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a budget choice.

Great build, I would make two small changes: get a terabyte of storage, you're probably gonna run out with only 370 gigs. Also, Corsair isn't particularly known for good quality PSUs, I'd go for an EVGA, based on what I've read and suggestions from this site as well. Other than that, fantastic build, go have fun!
