Comment reply on Forum Topic "Do I need a CPU cooler other than the stock one?"

That CPU has pretty good stock cooler, and I doubt you'll need another if you're not going to OC. But separate coolers are generally just better, quieter, and look better. You can get a nice looking, very efficient one for $30. (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/93Crxr/cryorig-cpu-cooler-h7) <- Good example of cheap, good looking cooler, that works amazing!

You could definitely get a cheaper motherboard, also the i7 7700k is cheaper and better in my opinion, other than that, nice build!

You could basically run both those off an integrated graphics card. Not really, but those are not demanding games at all. I wouldn't recommend building a PC just to play those. However, the GTX 1050 is the cheapest card right now and will run both of those at top speeds.

I would go for a cheaper CPU (You can get an i3-8100 for $118) and a bigger HDD for cheaper (You can get a 2TB for $60).

Define light gaming? What games? You usually don't need a 1050 Ti for "light gaming." Just get a 1050 for $150. It's cheaper, then use that money for 8 GB of RAM. I mean you could use 4, but personally, I always go with 8. Other than that, looks good!

Take the SSD, she won't need it for light gaming. Other than that, keep the rest, since it's essential.

I'll probably go new since I'm not great with troubleshooting by myself, but I might buy some simple parts used, thanks!

Thanks, I might end up going with that!

The only concern is that I won't be able to refund the parts if they break early or any of that, I've never gotten parts from Ebay before though. My last build was all from Amazon and Newegg

I'm trying to save money so I probably won't be getting an SSD at the moment. But thanks for the advice!

The only reason I wouldn't go for EVGA is it has two fans, you think three fans makes a big difference?

Add monitor, mouse, headset, and keyboard to parts list?

Super nice build! You might want to incorporate the prices of the Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Windows, and Headset. If you don't want to offset the price everyone sees ($1474) at least list them in the description. That's just my personal opinion so people can see. Other than that, the build seems super good, and looks soooo nice.
