only game I have an issue with is battlefront 2 stuttering which I think its more of a driver thing, on my 300+ game list I haven't ran into anything else yet that it doesn't handle 60+ fps on the highest settings without any issue
I figured at the time the 1500x was just enough for me based on performance reviews, I could always drop in a ryzen 7 later on when they get cheaper just for giggles, but the 4c/8t works great as it is.
Thanks, yah I will probably end up getting a single 8tb for my media down the road just for simplicity's sake.

I think I paid about 300 for it around july
yea 2x80 on the side and theres a bracket you can mount a 120mm over the cpu depending on how tall your heatsink is.
i actually really like this
just because uh...
thanks mate, ya the psu selection wasnt that great and i was trying to keep the cost as low as possible whilst still making a capable gaming pc =P
so much wasted space in that case i wouldve suggested the corsair spec m2 over the 200r, need to work on your cable management, try runnining your cpu 4pin up on the top from the back of the mobo so its not blocking airflow to your cpu cooler
gtx 970, r9 290, or better, its worth it in the long run
i really love the first shot of your desk, that case looks great in this setting
nice but look at all that wasted space
fantastic build congrats
very nice, wish i had the cash to build stuff like this, at least someone can.
nice, mind doing some benchmarks on games like sc2, d3, wow and swtor?
reason being, your grandpa is never going to use over 4 gigs of ram, so you could have saved a couple bucks there, and depending how much storage he actually needs i think the benefit of speed for having an ssd is definitely worth the extra bucks, not only does your computer start up faster it opens programs faster and to someone like your grandfather i think he wouldve been impressed with that
koo but id have gone with just 4gb ram and an ssd
the captain 120 has held up fine, still using on a daily, i got the red LEDs from frys electronics and i just taped them to the frame with double sided sticky tape.
thanks brother =)
lol ya im running 970s in sli now XD
very nice but confused on your air flow
it is def warmer but i dont have any performance issues or overheating
that white asus card would go perfect in here
i liked the aesthetics of the corsair fan, thought it might be better with static pressure, i was wrong, its 2-3 degrees hotter than the stock fan, most likely because it doesnt seal around the radiator so i wish i could take it back
ya there is a automotive shop by my house that makes custom vinyl decals, i choose the frosted vinyl as to pick up ambient red light.
thanks, nah its fine, same as any other case with 280 intake and 120 exhaust, dust has been kept at bay as well thanks to the front filters.
they make uv reactive acrylic paint, i did the same thing to my vengeance ram in one of my builds
thats def one of corsairs best cases
you aught to put your hdd in one of your 5.25 bays and delete the hdd cage, it helps with airflow once you get a second intake fan
hows the psu hand this?
+1 fer star wars
overpriced v21 case lol nice though
i dont understand how you had a 1000$ budget but ended up with a 750ti and 6300 but at least you can keep that case for a future build
i think you should get the rog version 980(ti) and some better matching ram =D
Hows the evga cooler
what games are you trying to play just minecraft?
yes. i only took it out for improved air flow.
couldve done better with the part selection, value wise, i made the same mistake too when i built my first pc of getting the bare minimum mobo only to realise i was lacking in current tech and upgrading a mobo is the hardest thing to swap out. id suggest def getting atleast a 7200rpm hdd, possibly a 87 series mobo and maybe a better case for cable management, the corsair spec series are great budget cases, i wouldnt get anything less than those unless you just dont give a @#$%
i had it custom made, its frosted so it picks up some red light too
sweet build love this case
ive never seen one
in the ml05b you could put a half height single slot card for sure but its not really that practical
you should wait till the build is done before you share it
awesome but i feel like it would look better with white and green coolant instead of blue and green
that 970 is awesome
very nice (borat voice) but why no bequiet psu or case...
