TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Dark Horizon Budget Build

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

if ya have a 2k budget but you want a custom loop than yeah, the gtx 1080 was really cheap so why not. Maybe you should consider buying an i3 and test her out.

TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Dark Horizon Budget Build

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

Sure it will not have issues. Dont believe the bottlenecking page cuz that is fake. Look for some reviews of the i3 8350k and you see they test it with a 1080ti

TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Dark Horizon Budget Build

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

Agree on what you said, but this is a client build and he was on a budget and wanted a lyquid cooled solution. his idea is purely for gaming and homework. The build was tested on my 3440 x 1440 in games like battlefield 1, cod ww2 , rise of the tombraider and Project Cars 2. It performed better than a build of mine (project Alderaan) with an i7 6700k and a gtx 1080

TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Dark Horizon Budget Build

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

No not at all. It is running perfect and gets 100+ fps in 3440 x 1440 in games that I play

TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Dark Horizon Budget Build

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

And when you oc it to 5ghz and running stable

TettenMan's Completed Build: Project Dark Horizon Budget Build

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 3 points 4 months ago

It was a customer build and i3 aint a bad choice since it overclocks to 5ghz and runs stable.
Have an i7 6700k at home with a 1080 and the i3 performs better.

Nice build Seth. Keep up the good work. You have my vote

TettenMan's Completed Build: PROJECT DARK HORIZON

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 1 point 5 months ago

Why would this last generation cpu not be able push + 60 ? Oced to 5ghz it is compared with an 7700.
I tested it on my pg348q screen with 3440 x 1440 at 100hz. Most games easily get that amount of frames. Except gta 5 and forza 2 which still get between 50 and 70

TettenMan's Completed Build: PROJECT DARK HORIZON

TettenMan submitter 6 Builds 3 points 6 months ago

Dunno why it would bottleneck. The i3 8350k equals a 7700k. mine is oced till 5ghz and its nowhere bottlenecking my gpu.
