Nice dorm build. Can you explain your speaker setup. They're connected to an interface, correct? I'm looking into getting a smaller set of speakers myself.

That sounds like a good setup. Two displays are definitely preferred by me aswell.

GL on your Finals! I'm headed off for the Holidays, but I'll be sure to let you know when I post my build.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try those settings once more. So you had no luck w the included software though?

If BB has that Dell, i’ll check it out too!

I also did a 8700k + 1060 combo. I too am not a hardcore gamer (like you mentioned) and figured if and when needed, I can upgrade the gpu easily in the future. Happy it all worked out for ya!

I got that same Acer monitor from Best Buy. Have you figured out how to calibrate it so the colors aren't so washed out? I don't have an optical drive, but will borrow one this weekend to try out the included software. I enjoy the size, but the colors are bugging me - esp for design work.

It was between the Strix-e and Taichi. Decided to pay extra for the Taichi. I agree either choice would have been good though. Thanks for the reply!

Went with the Taichi. My ram was specifically listed on the QVL list for OC & the recent positive reviews swayed me. Thanks for the reply!

I see, so something to expect to when I first power on. After this occurrence, though, it's been good so far?

First off, you have a Very nice build! I was actually planning on building very similarly to yours in a Meshify! same mobo and ram, but w a 1700x.

I was curious if your ram has responded well to the board? I have ver 5.30 and it is listed on the mobo's QVL list. However, I wanted hear you're experience. :)
