I would go with red if I had to for mobo but would be happy with white or black :)

I honestly have no idea what that is. Could you recommend a mobo lol, trying to keep a white black and blue theme with maybe a hint of red.

Thanks, but would you have any tips? Like how is the components? Sorry if i'm putting you on the spot haha

I was referring to stock frequency, not overclocking.

Why? You may save a few bucks but the K gives better performance for only a little more. In this case I don't see the point of a non-K.

Thought so :) I would recommend K over non-K any day, better performance with the ability to overclock.

Okay thanks for that info lol. Also, he did say that he wanted it for future things, not necessarily GPU but still. I'm working on a build, only like 250w right now (Exc GPU) yet it'll have a 1000w PSU, considering a 1200w haha

He did say he wanted the 750w for 'future purposes' Not sure about that mobo in terms of overclocking, isn't it the z170x's for overclocking?

Doesn't the K have a higher stock speed?

Oh, knew I left something out. Right now I run 5760x1080 (3x1080p). I plan to sell one of my monitors to get a bit of the money towards a 4k for the middle/main monitor. Or maybe just a 1440p 144hz instead.

It would be used mainly for gaming, streaming and rendering.

One of my main goals for the PC is for it to look great, as aesthetics is important for me.

Ugh, sorry... I only run with i7's... it's a habit :/ I need 16GB RAM since I am a internet hog and one of the games I play crashes often since I need more RAM... I wanted the MOBO since it would go nicely with the design I am trying to go for, and btw I was thinking about that exact MOBO :) And finally, I watch LTT often and he states the Intel 730 series SSD's are highly reliable...

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Looking for $2000 gaming rig"

I must say, not a bad build!

1 Nope

2 I would say Titan X since SLI isn't 100% performance each, so GPU 1 will be 100% and GPU 2 will be like 75% or so... And some games don't support SLI so the other GPU won't do anything. Remember, it's always better to get 1 higher end GPU then 2 or more lower end!

3 I would watercool since it makes your equipment last longer so it'll be more futureproof.

And finally 4! No, 8 is enough for what you're needing... BUT I presume you'll be doing EXTREME gaming so that'll be handy!!! I have 8GB and I can not even play KSP modded haha, I am a real RAM eater :) so only get 32 if you're going balls to the walls extreme... seriously... So the conclusion is: It's a nice build, one recommendation I could tell you is another SSD for the OS... Though it isn't a necessity, it's pure luxury...

If you got any more questions feel free to ask, i'll answer to the best of my ability!

True, true... I multitask yet I can't do anything freely, I am nearly always using my full 8gb

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Can I play Skyrim with mods on full settings with this?"

But with 16 the user can multitask, Burrito said that he/she wants multiple monitors...

RAM speed doesn't make a difference much in performance, only like a few FPS

and the Mobo I overlooked that, damn... I usually don't...

And the BIOS can be flashed if he/she goes to a nearby computer technician to do it...

._.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8vLQLk It is a lil' overprice but it is more powerful, the water cooling will allow a longer life as well and you can overclock it... 16 gb RAM will allow for quite a few mods aswell...

Yes it should work great for MMO's, you can have up to 4 monitors with that GPU if I am correct... I have heard that case is pretty good aswell :) Changing the case wont hurt at all.

And may I just ask, is it good living in America., I'm thinking of moving there... Somewhere near Housten maybe :)

HOLY CRAP? Where do you live? How come that GPU is at $420??? Well never mind, with that RAM it should play Skyrim with decent mods... That GPU will beast it haha... And I just realize you are American... ok, give me 10 minutes and I will try and build one for that price, i'll tell you if I can make better or not...

All is compatible

You should get cables with the Case (if not with the parts)

Since it's your first time I would say around 4-6 hours

and finally what is your intended use, is it like a gaming rig, but as a secondary use a workstation?
