Meh. It's not really business what they do. I don't think it looks good or cool at all. But I don't really like jewelry or makeup in general. Hair dye basically gas the same purpose as makeup but for hair instead of your face. Tattoos are also similar to makeup but have a different purpose are hard to remove. But hey to each their own. It isn't anyone's business.

I mainly use PCPP and Reddit. I have IG but mainly use it to look at LEGO stuff. I check FB about once a month and after five minutes realize that almost anything would be better than this. My profile pic is still a picture of me when I was 13. But my face hasn't changed too much so I don't care. I use FB messenger to talk to one friend. Never really got into Twitter. It is hard for me to make responses short. League of Legends is the best chat app on the planet.

Some times I will just completely delete any social media from my phone. Either because I need to bleach out all the autism from my brain or I am studying for a big exam. Like this past week I uninstalled League I could study for the GED without getting distracted(I passed. Going to start college in a few months)

Wow you've got quite the options and experience! That is very cool, I am a little jealous. I've been eyeballing espresso machines for years but a) I have a good local coffee shop, and b) they're expensive. So the moka pot was a compromise option, since they are dirt cheap but still produce a good faux-spresso for the average day, and then when I want to treat myself I'll walk to the coffee shop.

Both of my parents, especially my Dad, are huge snobs when it comes to their coffee. And I have been drinking it on a regular basis since I was 5 or 6 years old. Although Dad apparently used to give me small spoon fulls of coffee when I was a toddler. I grew up in a coffee centric environment. And I will miss it when I move out in a couple of years. But my first purchase will probably be a kettle, french press and pour over lol.

One of these days I am going to bite the bullet and get that espresso machine.

I am lucky I haven't had to pay for any coffee equipment. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Yeah it's not great. It'll do when on the road or options are limited. Beats hotel coffee lol.

True. It beats hotel coffee by a pot. But if I just want the caffein I will get a con panna. Gets ya more caffein with less time spent drinking.

Good lord lol. My preferred beans are $12 for a 12oz bag and I thought that was already on the pricier side lol. Those better be magic beans.

It definitely wasn't something brewed often. Normally on Sunday afternoons when the family was together. The daily brews are usually $8-$14 a pound. If you buy in bulk you can save. Although when it's only 1 or 2 people drinking, as opposed to 4 or 5, buying in bulk can result in stale beans because they may sit for a while.

lol that is great. I'd never considered looking for Russian coffee before.

Definitely worth trying. They roast in the US so shipping won't cost much.

What kind of brewing do you do?

It depends. If other people want coffee I will usually brew a pot with the family Technovorm. Which makes the best drip coffee at just the right temperature. If I am just making for myself that also depends. If I know I am only going to be drinking one cup I will do a pour over. I use a kettle for the water. The pore over thing itself is just a ceramic dish that you put a filter in and then your beans. Although I usually rinse the filter with the hot water before I add the grounds. Paper filters can leave an odd taste. Normally for a large pot it's so small you don't taste it. But for a pour over it's easy to taste. If I am going to drink more than one cup, but not enough to justify a full pot, I will do a french press. As far as the grind goes. For a pour over I do fine, medium for pots, and coarse for french press.

Some times if I feel up to spending 10 minutes on my coffee I will make some espresso drinks. I have a decent espresso maker. But the biggest problem is the beans. Since a good espresso is not that common. I generally use whatever beans have the darkest roast. Two or three shots and some frothed almond milk and you get a great cup of espresso. Alternatively if I am sleep deprived I just add espresso to my regular cup of coffee. But I don't do that too often.

I may give the cookie butter a try if I ever have any on hand.

Yeah Caribou started in Edina Minnesota(freaking cake eaters(it's a nick name for hockey players from Edina because it's one of the wealthier towns, pay no attention to it)). They are mostly in Minnesota. But are steadily growing chain. They have really spread ever since JAB Holdings purchased the company, and Einsteins. They don't do as many specialty drinks as Star Bucks. But overall their drinks are much better, whether it be black coffee, or their Cooler(similar to a Frappuccino, but better in every way). They have a north woods aesthetic in their buildings. Usually a fire place you can sit by and read if that's your thing. I miss having one near by.

Starbucks will serve your coffee black unless you order a latte, cappuccino, frappuccino, etc. Starbucks can be ok, like the Caffe Verona in particular is fine. I'm still not gonna recommend it to anyone though if they have alternatives.

Generally I find their black coffee to be between okay, and flavored dirt water. And I avoid it. I usually get an iced tea if I get something from them. I don't really consider them a coffee place.

I think everyone should find and support a local coffee house if they live in an area with options, that's where you're going to find people who take it seriously.

Agreed. In the last two places I have lived there were some great local cafes. Two in the Springfield Missouri are and one in the twin cities a few miles from the Mall of America. The one in the twin cities had some great black coffee. A bit on the expensive side. $23 for a pound of beans if you wanted to buy them. But it was mostly worth it.

If you ever want to try some good coffee made by Russians, Dazbog is great. My favorite is the KGBlend. The names of the coffees usually have something to do with Russian or soviet history. The KGBlend for example.

My morning cup is usually a dark roast. And depending on the roast, either black or with some maple syrup. I drink darks roasts the most, but I do like mediums. Although light roasts are usually just meh to me.

I think pretty much all chains put a ton of cream and sugar. And generally they only have one good roast. Personally not a fan of Starbucks at all. I think Duncan has better coffee, but not by much. Caribou coffee has several good roasts. Although they are mostly found in the northern states. But since the company that bought them a few tears ago also owns Einstein's bagels, most Einsteins I have seen serve Caribou coffee now. And on the inverse most Caribous now serve bagels.

Absolutely. There are some roasts that go well with adding something like maple syrup, but generally I find only cheap, crappy coffee is actually good with cream and sugar. Because the cream and sugar covers the horrible taste of coffee. The few exceptions being coffee that may have a decent flavor, but a lot of acid. I usually put something in those. To use Duncan as an example. Their Columbian is decent in flavor(it's much better iced than hot), but it's just so acidic that I usually use cream and sugar.

On a weekly basis I eat tuna usually 2 or 3 times. Usually those packages that have different flavors. My favorite is lemon pepper.

As much as I love fish, the rest of my family is not super fond of it. My siblings just aren't big fans of the taste. My parents like it, but they hate the smell it leaves after baking. So I don't really get to eat baked tilapia or salmon as much as I would like. Recently had a salad with seared Ahi. IT was basically raw other than the very ends, which is why I wanted to try it. It was okay. I can see why people would like it. I thought it was okay, but not really something I would order again. Nothing wrong with the salad or the tuna, just not my thing. But I do want to try other forms of raw/seared-raw fish. Never tried sushi, but I want to. I have had calamari and liked it. But that was years ago. And all I think about when I hear calamari, is the Mon Cala from Star Wars.

One thing that I just don't like is deep fried fish. If there is one thing you can do to ruin a fish, it's to cover it batter and drop it in oil. It ruins the flavor and texture. And the smell is just horrendous. Fish can already have an unpleasant scent. But when you take it and add it to horrible smelling oil it kicks it up to 1000.

But... yes it does! It changes everything! That video perfectly highlights why that Obi-Wan line is one of those silly things that became a great in-joke. Sandpeople bulls-eyeing a podracer flying at 500 mph from 300 yards away.

Except that Raider was using a blaster, unlike most who only have access to slugthrowers.

Meanwhile, Stormtroopers. If you want to use the excuse of "they were ordered to let them escape" in regards to the Death Star scenes(which I find flimsy since at least SOME of the troopers they encountered weren't even aware of them being there, so how did they have orders already to let them escape?)

They were canonically under orders to let them go. Even Leia said as much.

https://youtu.be/nammMXTkrX4

And of course we know the Empire had a tracker on the ship.

Something like seven stormtroopers catch Han by surprise in the hangar on Tatooine, and cannot hit him.

Han started shooting around the same time they did, most went for cover. And Han was a moving target at 15+ meters.

(Obviously the real factor here is, the rebels at the start of ANH didn't have plot armor like our heroes do. In fact those rebels needed to die, sacrifices at the altar of the plot! Most of the time our heroes are the ones being shot at, not nameless rebels, so most of the time stormtroopers miss. But what this leads to objectively is a whole lot of stormtrooper blaster fire that hits nobody.)

Exactly. Lore wise Stormtroopers, and especially the 501st have always been described as the best of the Imperial army, and were given better training, armor, and weapons.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "The Mandalorian finale discussion."

Whenever somebody says Stormtroopers are inaccurate I just refer to Obi Wan.

https://youtu.be/XgGnoZzVxs4

I know that specific video is making fun of the line but it doesn't change anything.

They are terrible shots on the Death Star because they had orders to let them escape. At the start of ANH they clear a hall way full of Rebels and suffer few casualties. And this is only a few years after the battle of Endor so these guys are more than likely not new recruits.

As far as the gear goes their visors don't look dirty. And the weapons don't have any obvious damage. The thing they were try to hit was less than 3 meters. And compared to slug throwers, blasters are much easier to handle and have very little recoil.

I will need to do some digging as into the Disney canon training of Storm Troopers, but I am pretty sure they were extremely well trained with their blasters. They were trained by Clone troopers. People literally born to be good warriors.

Definitely looking forward to season 2. The opening scene was funny but it does bring some questions to mind. We know stormtroopers being terrible shots is a myth. In fact they were much better trained than any other average person in the entire Imperial military. So they should be able to hit the can. That to me is what made it feel like a fan skit.

You gripe about the weirdest **** in a saga with so much to gripe about XD a true Star Wars fan

But hey at the time I bought it the Athlon 200ge hadn't launched and the cheapest MOBO on Ryzen would have almost cost twice as much. It's entertainment. It's a story in Star Wars. That's the point. It doesn't need a greater point.

I'm not saying it does need a greater point. But it tried to have one. If the goal is to just make a story about Star Wars why does it need to be a grand mission for the Rebellion that could save billions? Why does it need to connect to the OT at all?

This is like someone saying The Clone Wars is just filler content, or a pointless show to try and fix the bad characterizations of Obi-Wan and Anakin in the prequels.

Have you watched the Clone Wars? It does a lot of universe building and it doesn't care about feeding into the overall narrative of the Prequel Movies most of the time. A majority of what happens in the Clone Wars is not even connected to the plot of ROTS. Some stuff in later seasons like 5's story arc in season 6. But stuff like Maul, Mandalore, the Nightsisters, and much more really doesn't play into the larger narrative of the movies. So I suppose when you look at as it relates to the movies it is pointless. But it still adds to it. And it's purpose isn't to explain stuff that happened in the movies. It's to tell it's own story about what happened between the movies. And yeah Rogue One does tell it's own story but it's overall plot is to explain something from a 39 year old movie that didn't need explaining. What does Rogue One add to A New Hope?

Or that the entire Prequel Trilogy is just filling a plot hole from the OT ("you fought in the Clone Wars?!"). Etc. Bad logic.

The line about the clone wars isn't a plot hole.

And I know a lot of people think I dislike Rogue One because of what I say about it. But I do like the movie. And I do watch it when I do a Star Wars marathon. It is a good movie.

I really disagree. The movie was meant to put emphasis on the grand role some rebels played, but the lack of recognition they got afterwards.

I can kinda see your point but that's not what the movie is about. It essentially exists to explain something from a movie that was 39 years old when Rogue One was released. Gives us a little bit more lore behind the construction of the Death Star. Has some great action sequences. But it just doesn't add much. If what you said was the point of the movie then it did a crappy job compared to the kids show Rebels.

Ok yeah, TPM does introduce world-building, but as a movie, it was bad tbh. Like, what was coincidence of Anakin building C-3PO? that's just fanservice right there lmao

Well you and I will disagree that it's a bad movie. But that's not the point of this discussion.

What are the chances the daughter of an Imperial science officer working who is working on one of the biggest and most important projects in the Empire, isn't recognized at all by the various identification systems the Empire has? That makes a lot less sense then a 9 year old wanted to build a droid to help his mother. And in the entire Prequel trilogy it sets up how R2 and 3PO came in to the possession of Leia. Anakin builds droid in episode 1. He return to Tatooine in Episode 2 and since his mother is dead the droid is now his. He gives the droid to his wife to help her. And then in episode 3 the droids end up in the possession of Bail Organa. The adopted father of Leia.

Rogue One's existence does nothing for Star Wars. It's a pointless movie to explain a plot hole that wasn't really a plot hole, from a movie that was 39 years old. I like the movie but it's existence is just pointless. And TPM is somewhat under rated by most people. It's certainly not the best movie but it is a decent movie. And it does a lot of universe building and completely changed how people thought about lightsaber fights. It also introduced one of the greatest songs ever composed. Duel of the Fates. And from a technical standpoint it revolutionized CGI. Jar Jar was a testament to how far you could go with technology. And he was the first fully CGI character ever.

In regards to Palpatine, I will say that there was a comic release after episode 6 (probably not canon anymore but still) that showed Palpatine being reincarnated. It was the same one where Luke turned to the dark side temporarily. I can't remember which one but I have it somewhere.

This was a plot line in the old EU. But it was just a clone. Not the actual thing as it appears to be in the movie. And even back then people didn't like it because they thought it basically undid Anakin's redemption.

Using the force to straight up heal wounds was more iffy to me (Mandalorian opened that can of worms).

This was a thing in legends... somewhat. The most common type of force heal was self healing. Where you use the force to help your body heal faster. And most Jedi used it. It wasn't powerful enough to heal wounds almost instantly in most cases. There were also Jedi healers that could heal others. I believe in the legacy era a Jedi was so strong with healing that even her tears could heal people. But again it wasn't so strong that it could heal a deadly wound and you would be back in the fight 5 minutes later.

Nah. Rey was recently on a sandy planet. And he doesn't like sand. It's rough, it course, it's irritating, and it gets everywhere.

What I think would have been awesome was when the ghosts of all the Jedi were talking and it got to Windu. It would have been amazing if they had Samuel Jackson say "Rise motherf***er." And it's PG-13 so they are allowed one use.

I just saw it and while I do have problems with the movie, I must say I think it's the best of the Disney movies so far. So if I had to rank all the Star Wars movies in order I would put this at number 8.

First the positive. It wasn't ROTJ. I was expecting it to be a retelling of ROTJ like TFA was to a ANH. But thankfully it wasn't(at least not entirely). The redemption of Ben I was somewhat expecting. I did read the leaks for the movie and holy crap they were accurate. Palpatine was Palpatine. And that's good.

As to what I don't like. When did Palpatine find time to uhh... Get it on? His child would have been born around the time of ROTS. So how? Also how does Rey have a yellow saber? Unless I am confusing cannon with legends, which I don't think I am. The origin of both White and Yellow crystals comes from taking a crystal that has been corrupted by a darksider and restoring it. Which is why we see very few of them. With the only known yellow sabers being wielded by Jedi sentinels, and one by Asaj Ventress. So unless they are changing the meaning of crystals(again), there is really no way Rey could have one. I could be confusing legends and cannon but I am 90% sure that it the origin I listed was cannon.

Also they had a fleet of Star Destroyers with planet killers. First of all why not introduce the Eclipse as the flagship? That would have been amazing. Second, where the heck did they get that many kyber crystals? Illum was destroyed in the TFA(it was Starkiller base). And as we see in Rogue one and Rebels the crystals are extremely rare for the quantities needed. So where did they get enough kyber to make all those weapons? How did any piece of the Death Star 2 survive? Like that thing was incinerated at the end of ROTJ. And Palpatine. Way to take all the meaning out of ROTJ. By completely undoing the entire fall and redemption story of Anakin Skywalker. Also why did Rey burry Anakin's and Leia's lightsabers? If she is going to continue the Jedi then you kinda need kyber. And after what happened in ANH, ROTJ, and TFA, the galaxy is in short supply. Also if she ever goes to the core worlds and tries to help rebuild the New Republic, people are going to call BS on her being a Skywalker. Eventually they would learn she is a Palpatine. Leia's political career was ruined when people found out she was the daughter of Vader. Imagine what would happen if they found out the granddaughter of the Emperor was walking around. Ben completely undoing Rey's death added nothing. And that stupid kiss after. I facepalmed in the theater when I saw that. Congratulations. You kissed a guy who murdered billions of innocent people and helped kidnap and brainwash thousands if not millions of kids. He was legit worse than Vader and had a higher kill count. Him realizing all the wrong he's done doesn't suddenly undo it.

As far as my current ranking of all the Star Wars movies of best to worst it is now as follows.

1: Revenge of the Sith.

2: Empire Strikes back.(this is basically tied with Revenge of the Sith but nostalgia)

3: A New Hope.

4: The Phantom Menace.

5: Return of the Jedi.

6: Attack of the Clones.

7: The Clone Wars movie.

8: The Rise of Skywalker.

9: Rogue One(even though this movie adds nothing to Star Wars at all.

10: The Force Awakens.

11: Solo.

12: The Last Jedi.
