I would recommend the i5 series if you are a gamer. For higher end and rendering and such an i7 is fine.

The fans are mounted to the case with the radiators in between, then i sandwiched it with the other fans. No brackets required. Just cooling my cpu and gpu radiators.

The fans are doubled up as a push pull system because of the radiator. The case happened to work out great in my situation cause all the fans I wanted to do. I wanna eventually sli my gfx card and it will be water cooled as well. More fans needed and power lol

Well I originally ordered a PG278Q and that arrived the exact same day as the PG279Q lol. So I got my refund pending and it ships back tomorrow for the PG278Q. Gonna use the IPS. Had about 10 mins to play with it. So far it looks awesome.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999309&cm_re=silverstone_pwm-_-11-999-309-_-Product

Here you go.

Supports 8 fans, 3 or 4 pin, only the first fan in the gloss slot can be controlled for speed otherwise it wont control speed and will always be default. I bought 3 pin just because of this.

They sent me an email saying 10% off when the video card was on pre-order. That was like 4 weeks ago if not more.

No these are 3 pin fans. They are connected to a Silverstone Sata poweered 1 input to 8 fan out put. 8 of the fans are connected to that, 2 are connected to the corsair h100i gtx and 1 from the vid card is on the mobo.

Okay, I typically use the Optimizations that Nvidia suggests in the GeForce experience. I am going to get the ASUS PG279Q Monitor. Finally decided just have to find out when I can order it lol.

Thanks for the feedback.

I really like the Acer X34 Predator monitor, like a lot. I have seen a lot of people posting issues with their monitor and it not receiving the refresh rate they wanted. Also I have seen some people saying that getting 60+ FPS with one card on that monitor is hard. If i run one gtx 980 ti am I gonna have a great experience with the monitor or should i get SLI.

I would use either ASUS or ACER, not a problem. If the Acer monitor drops in price to like i said $50-$100 off then it would be better than the ASUS just cause I dont need 165HZ and if I can save a few dollars Id prefer that. So far $400 of the monitor is covered by another source. I would have to pay a few dollars outta my pocket. If i can get a good frame rate with one card on the X34, I will hold off until I can officially afford it.

Its on newegg for 799.99 and linus said its around that price. The RoG Swift TN is now 669.99.

The Acer is $800 as well, it should drop like $50-$100 after the ROG swift releases, At least in my opinion otherwise for the same price id rather the ASUS.

You are right, I was looking @ that one. If they maybe put it for like $100 less than the Rog Swift with 165HZ it would be the best deal honestly. Just feel like for the few dollar difference the ROG swift IPS is the better choice. I gotta wait anyways until they are released.

I appreciate the feedback. Just know that $1000 of the build was paid for not by me, nor will the monitor be paid for by me, to an extent. So far this build only cost me out of pocket $1k.

I understand there is A LOT of fans lol. The way I saw it was for $13 a fan with RED leds I could light my case up without spending $15 on LEDS, or $60 on the HUE+... The alchemy 2.0s are $20 as well... Hell 2 fans which benefit the computer is the same price as a Alchemy LED strip or 5 fans is the same price as the hue+.

I do plan on SLI in the future. If that means I get an 850W psu and resell this one Ill have to. But i for damn sure will try with the 750 first. I am not going to overclock anytime soon as my experience is minor in that area.

My last pc is almost 7 years old running a core i7 920 with no overclock. This pc went to my GF.

Thanks for all the feedback, please keep it coming :)

According to linus forums and multiple benchmarks simply under Google images u can see sli 980 tis isn't too bad. I would be cutting it close for sure but I wouldn't be overclocking.

Even pcpartpicker shows it would be okay.

I use the Silverstone 8 way pwm splitter. The fans are 3 pin not 4 and thus not controllable. Thanks for the feedback :)

I'm thinking the pg278q only cause its 669.99 vs 800 or 1300.
