Here is a link to a youtube video by Jayztwocents. It is about common misconceptions of water cooling and he talks about this exact topic. Basically, it doesn't matter (like archlinuxos already mentioned). The link skips to the part of the video where Jay talks about this.
Looks good to me! Some people may say to do some cable management, but I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you really want the inside to look organized. You will see no difference in performance or temperatures by routing the cables behind the motherboard. I also think you did a good job picking the parts for a balanced system.
Anyways, GO PLAY GAMES!!!!
P.S. Don't forget to do your school work. It's probably a little more important than gaming ; )
I have to agree with you, orairwolf. Pretty cable management is nice, but how it looks doesn't really matter if the performance of the PC is unaffected.
The cable management may not be immaculate, but your desk work space is very clean. As far as I'm concerned, that's more important considering you see and use that work space a lot more than the inside of the computer.
+1 and have fun with it! Maybe do a little work on the side if you have to ;)
Also, this looks like a nice build that'll last quite awhile, and good luck with the GPU search. Picking my card took a long time because of all the options.
I'm thinking all of your prices are off by a decimal place, and you should probably post some pics of the inside. Anyways, I like the part choices and think it should serve you well for the years to come.
That's exactly what I thought earlier this summer. I was also on a laptop and didn't want to wait for price drops or new stuff. Ended up with a r9 280x.
Those would be good choices now, but if you can wait ( I know it's difficult) until quarter 1 of next year to buy a graphics card, AMD's next generation of GPUs should be out. They are supposed to be as good or better than the Nvidia GTX 900 series
I like them a lot. I have tried several headphones in this price range and these seemed to be the best overall to me. If you do end up getting some, get the updated version. They have the same drivers in them, but there is a detachable cable.
Thanks. I have gotten it off the carpet since the pictures were taken. Also, I opened up the case to make sure there wasn't too much dust in there, and it turns out the dust filters did a good job. They just needed a good cleaning.
I agree. These are some of the better headphones I have tried in the price range. Audio Technica just updated them as well. The model is ATH M50x. The new version has a detachable cable and comes with 3 different styles of cable to fit your needs.
