The build looks solid overall, especially for your intents of streaming. I love my Ryzen for streaming.

I would definitely change your CPU cooler. Either go with an air cooler (I'd recommend a Scythe Mugen 5, as it has worked great with my Ryzen. There are some other fantastic coolers out there too...) or a beefier AiO. 140mm is a little weak, especially for that price. Go with a 240mm if you must have liquid cooling.

Otherwise, nice list!

Furthermore, there shouldn't be any reason for RAM to be incompatible with a MOBO unless it doesn't work with your existing sticks (if you have them) for some reason or if the RAM speed/type (e.g. DDR4, DDR3) doesn't correspond to your MOBO.

Correct me if I am wrong where there are more general instances of such an occurrence.

The "Corsair - Vengeance RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory" kit should be compatible with "MSI - B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX AM4 Motherboard".

PCPartPicker has its own compatibility checker, which is quite useful. It is mostly accurate as well. Just stick your parts into empty Parts List and it will tell you if it is compatible or not.

That was fixed with a lot of pushing. It was the wires, not the cooler, that kept it from closing completely.

This screen is fine; my colors were perfect out of the box. I don't know how the 1060 6GB will do with it.

IPS isn't a must for gaming. The better refresh rate (and the res.) is the selling feature in my opinion (for gaming).

Lol, thanks for all of the suggestions! Yeah, Ryzen rocks.

I was consider M.2, but I figured I'd grab one later. You are right though: they are wicked fast.

The wireless card was a long debate, but I went with the Gigabyte as it kept coming up as the best, or one of the best, in the price range.

I don't know if those are grey market keys, and I was originally thinking about doing what you suggested (but buying the key from Newegg), but I feel safer buying the Full USB version. This is my first build, so I am trying to eliminate any problems that could arise. But yes, I agree, I could have gotten Windows a lot cheaper.

Go with the Scythe Mugen 5 rev. B or the Fuma rev. B (rev. B is just adding AM4 support). Both are on par with 240mm AiOs (benchmarks are compared at many sources).

Both are great coolers for the price and offer large OCing headroom.

Basically, when you install the OEM version Windows, think of it being "stuck" the Motherboard you installed it on. So, in the future, when you decide to upgrade or even build a new computer and thus get a new motherboard, you will be forced to buy a new copy of Windows.

However, if you get the full version (~20 dollars more?), you can avoid this.

Well, if you plan on going 4k and playing on ultra, you will need at least a 1080. So opt for that.

Be aware that the OEM version of Windows is non-transferable from the MOBO to which it is installed.

Ryzen offers many cores/threads at a low price, making video editing a breeze. No CPU cooler needed as the 1600 comes with a capable one.

(Windows is ~120)

CoffeeLake could also be an option.

I left you $200 wiggle room so you can...
-Add peripherals if necessary. (UPDATE: No need, as you already have them...)
-Upgrade to Ryzen 7 1700 for extra cores/threads.
-Upgrade to GTX 1080 Ti for increased graphics performance (although a 1080 is already very good).

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Is this really worth the extra $200?"

Is this and this the same thing?

Technically, they are the same thing. However, the OEM version is stuck on the MOBO you install it to, so if you plan to switch MOBOs, you would need to buy another windows copy. The full version is transferable. Go with that, as it is worth the extra dollars.

I will get a monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Well, a 120hz monitor vary. Is it 1080p, or 1440p, as one is harder to run than another. However, a 1080 should suit your needs on both.

I need to know if there is anything important that I am missing. Basically anything that is required to make the PC run properly.

The list you provided has all you need except:
-An OS.
-A Monitor.
-A Mouse and Keyboard (and Headphones if needed).
-A Wireless Network Adapter if you cannot use Ethernet.

The 1080 Ti will give you better performance, but we can't justify the extra $200 if we don't know your monitor(s) and the settings you want to play your games.

Remember, you will also need an OS and other peripherals (such as a monitor) if you don't.
