I had a set like yours.. could NOT get it to post .. Tried 3 sets of RAM , 2 PSU's.. kept getting some wierd q codes, that did not make sence. after 15 hours of troubleshooting i gave up. Got an i7-7700k. Will wait for Ryzen to matures before i try to convert again :)
Check out my latest version .. switched to a fury X. The Fury does very well at 1440p with freesync :) Especially in newer titles that support directx12 and Vulcan :)
I can't answer that since the PC is not mine :) i just built it for a friend. :)
And yes.. there is enough space for the exhaust :)
For the price, yes i think it is as good as i gets :)
Check out my new build ;) The radeon ;)
I share the desk with my GF and she thinks the tower would dominate too much on the desk
.. just like her ;) :P
Thank you very much :)
Thanks :) I like it too.
Its not empty, but not full :) I ran out of coolant when filling the loop. Some day it will be full ;) I only use the mic for recording guitar and vocals, so i don't need a boom arm atm ;) Thanks for the nice comment :)
I have not.. yet :)
Thanks a lot :) To be honest i have no idea about the wifi. I built the PC for a friend and we never testet the wifi and i know he is not using it either. For every day use and casual gaming im sure its fine.. Would not use it for competitive gaming and FPS games :)
Really nice build :) But i don't get the 60hz monitors :)
Beautiful :) Well done
I only have 1 pc :) and only 1 Fury X atm.. no regular fury's :)
I have a MG279Q Asus freesync monitor :) I LOVE my setup :D Can't wait for Vega GPu's :)
My PC has just had a MAJOR watercooling overhaul.. new build comming soon ;) Just added a Fury X with waterblock to my custom loop. :)
I really love this build :) that Mobo is SO amazing.
AMAZING build :)
Love it :) Neat and simple :)
Just SICK :p
Thats quite ok ;) But still happy that so many like it :)
I honestly don't know :) I would think so.. Fractal Design states: CPU coolers up to 160mm in height
Thank you very much, and yes i do plan to water the GPU , but there are no GPU block for the Nitro version of the R9 Sapphire, since its a custom PCB :) But when Vega is out.. it's going down :D
Glad i helped in your decision ;) AMAZING performance for the price.
Thanks so much :)
I bought the sleeve kit at a local building market.. was very cheap.. like 10 usd. :) But yeah it helps to keep the setup clean
:) Thank you
Thank you for the kind words :) Much appreciated.. I will keep that i mind about the lights ;) Maybe just a lil' bit :P
Just brutal :) LOVE IT!
Well within the next few months i will upgrade from 2800mhz to 3866mhz, and i will post my results :) It's true , that in some games there is hardly any difference , but in some game there apparently is.. like Fallout 4.
Regardless of the cost of fast RAM , apparently it can make a difference.. http://www.techspot.com/article/1171-ddr4-4000-mhz-performance/page3.html
Well you can't exactly compare your old DDR3 system with a newer DDR4 skylake system. Also big difference between 1600 vs 2133 and 2400 vs 4000. I know 4000+ is rather "expensive", men im sure 3200mhz would not cost a whole lot more than 2400mhz.
Regarding latency it says in the article:
"On the subject of memory timings, we didn’t see a huge impact on performance when going from , say CAS16 to CAS19, and while the latency does start to creep up this is solved by going to the next speed grade. In short, low-latency DDR4-2400 won’t match the performance of slacker DDR4-3000 memory.
We recommend Skylake builders aim for DDR4-3000 memory, but if you can go faster without paying much more then feel free to do so."
The latency on 4000mhz ram is 19 CL.
Love these mini power builds :) Made one myself recently for a friend.. check it out if you feel like it :) Well done.
Nice and clean build :)
you could not be more wrong :) and i'm not just talking about gaming.. He uses his rig for video production. see this article: http://www.techspot.com/article/1171-ddr4-4000-mhz-performance/page3.html
In some games yes.. its marginal.. but in others.. its ALOT :)
Nice pc. I would go for faster RAM though :) AND like you said.. better GPU :)
hahah text made me laugh :D
Not at all :) I informed my friend about this potential issue before purchasing the parts, but so far it has been well up for any tasks, we've thrown at it :)
I read about that also.. this is V2. I have no complaints. Great cooling and low noise :) Installation was easy.. Great bang for the buck :)
No issues what so ever :)
Nope :) it was a perfect fit.
I am holding out to see what performance the AiB cards will bring, and yes there are more rumors about the 490.. so .. im gonna see what happens. For now my Fury fulfills my need, and yes.. should the fury drop in price i might get a second one instead of the new gen cards. .. But you know.. New and shiny is always nice :P
ahh i can see that the reply i made about fan setup is confusing. I have another build which i thought i was replying to :) For this build no more cooling is needed. More fans will just add more noise. The Dark Rock was not that bad to mount, but 2 people can do it easier than one :)
What do you mean " How long is the computer at idle"? :) U mean how silent? You cannot hear it :)
It was really neat. Very simple and fast to set up :)
The temps during game are around 75c when using current OC. But it varies alot with the room temp. I prefer to keep the GPU fans at around 55-60% to keep the noise down.
The front fans don't really affect the GPU temps.. actually i have learned that by having a front fan blow directly into the GPU from behind creates turbulence and keeps the hot air from getting away from the rads. I have a new much better fan setup, but haven't taken any pictures of it yet.
The fans that came with the case uses 3 pin as i remember :) but i can get a molex converter if u like :)
Hello and thanks for the nice comment. The Thermaltake fan was left out of the build, as i concluded it would have no effect. It would only be for aesthetics. :)
I will ask my friend for a picture of the PC with the panel mounted :) The 1070 will be MORE than sufficient for Oculus/Vive ( remember a GTX970 is enough) . The GTX1080 is overkill atm for VR, but thats what he wanted :D
Personally i'm waiting for the RX480 from AMD.. Go here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=5289832&posted=1#post5289832 and read the post that starts with: POLARIS RX480 PRE Launch Sneak Peak ! Real Test. :)
Thanks. It just fits without touching :) Perfect fit :D
