I have the base station for the a50 gen 2 so I might try to plug the mic into there as there is a usb port on the back but I don't know if will pick it up. I'm going to try with a friend's mic before I go spend that much.
Where did you find that cable management strip that is mounted under your desk along the edge in picture 9?
Ok thank you!
Where did you get that desk? A link would be greatly appreciated! BTW amazing build I'm jealous AF!
I have a skylake CPU already i5 6500.
Why not a 7700k?
Enough room for a reservoir ;)
Oh I already have a Z170 board.
Upload more pictures once you get that 3M carbon fiber tape on
You can't overclock with a non K CPU
Tried that :(
Its not getting that hot but I will have him double check the RAM and power connectors. I think I am gonna make the trip to his house because he is not to technically inclined :)
According to him yes drivers are up to date. Also (at least to the touch) its not getting hot. He's playing CS GO with it so its not even putting too much load on it.
What mouse pad is that?
Could someone explain this whole mining thing to me? I google searched it and it just confused me more.
I looked at these on Amazon and it said there was a newer model the PC373D should I go with those or just stick with the PC363D?
Reviews have said that it doesn't work well with other wireless peripherals big conser considering a want to use these with my Xbox since it has a wireless controller. Also kinda of want something that doesn't shout video games as much.
Yeah the issue continues with my new router I might apply for a new one or just buy one myself but I don't really know which one to get.
I want to hook up an apple airport that I got and just want a modem and not the two in one thing frontier offers.
Ok thanks for the response! Also what are your temps like on GPU and CPU?
Why did you go with only one 240mm rad?
Did you overclock the refresh rate? Also, would you recommend this to me coming from a 144hz panel.
Did you ever overclock the refresh rate on the monitor? If so, what did you get? Also I was wondering if you would recommend the monitor to me if I came from a 144hz panel.
Did nothing but thanks for the idea.
The mainly effects my Xbox but it effect 2 games on my PC. I am using windows 10
Yeah thanks for the respond.
Why do you not have any fans on that rad for the h115i?
Also a $260 monitor that runs at 1920x1080 at 60hz is a rip off. With all that $ invested in hardware you should go with a 1440p monitor or a 4k monitor when they come out (both at 144hz.) If you did not want to upgrade the monitor then you can get away with a 1920x1080 build for about $1500.
Can you turn the leds off on the motherboard?
Can you turn off the leds on that motherboard?
You can turn off the yellow light on the motherboard in the bios. I have the same motherboard and it looks so much better without in my opinion.
Yeah it's all personal opinion and that is just mine.
The only thing I would do now is order a corsair sp120. If you take off that fan on the heatsink and replace it with the sp120 with the red ring it looks so good! Nice build +1!
Depends on if he has a 1440p monitor. If he does not a 1070 is way overkill.
That's what I was thinking thank you for the help.
Thank you for the clarification!
I'm planning on upgrading to a 1080 so which will take full advantage of the hardware?
Oh and congrats on the feature!
Love this build the only thing I would do is put a better picture for the first slide thing. This is a great build that I almost skipped past and I was glad I didn't!
Yeah I think I would buy that case if I didn't have my current s340 but my biggest problem with it is that it doesn't have support for a top 240mm rad.
One piece of advice that I have is DO NOT TOUCH THE WINDOW. If you put a finger print in the window you will have to clean it. The problem with that is that it scratches even if you use a micro fiber cleaning cloth. I learned the hard way :(
Can you add picture of the back of the case with the side panel off. I was thinking about picking up this case but I didn't know how well I could water cool in it or how big of a res I could fit and there are not really any good picture on any other build and this was by far the cleanest build I have ever seen in this case.
Yeah looks great! The fan hub I would replace with an nzxt grid+ v2 if you have a little left in your budget. If you don't I think that will be fine but a fan hub is nice to have if your motherboard does not have enough fan hubs and that is for you to determine but it will keep temps lower.
For the fans I would not buy the two that you added. Get these they cost as much as one of those fans and they look amazing and cool amazingly well. For the case I would opt for a Corsair 400c it is more expensive but the s340 scratches insanely easy. I have the s340 in black and I scratched it in multiple places whilst cleaning it using a microfiber cloth. Even though the 400c is more expensive a case should last you a few years. The CPU cooler is unnecessary it will only keep your CPU 1-3 degrees Celsius. Otherwise everything looks good.
I would not waste your money on that CPU cooler just use the one that comes with the 6100.
Nice build! I wish I liked the color red more than I do although it is kind of growing on me. The only thing I noticed is that you put AF 120s on your radiator. The AF series is for airflow through your case but when trying to push air through a radiator the AF series wing design does not push that much air through. The SP 120s are made for paying air through places with obstructions where it is not just open. Hope this helped!
How did you get that OS for $40? Great build btw.
Does that board have wifi?
I love this build! I would spend the money I have an NZXT S340 and I put 2 in the front and tested it the two in the back and tested it. I found temps were a lot lower, more on GPU than CPU, when the fans were in the front.
Yeah I have the 6500 going to give it to my sister and her 7700k the new rumored i7.
