CX650M would be OK, but you don't really need 650W (a decent 550W unit, like the one below would do the job just as well)

Not sure (it's OC wasn't that extreme, and I don't think it was a custom PCB unit)

Good to see an X79 setup still kickin'! (the 3930K still has some punch left in it; it's about the same as a Ryzen 5 1600, so throwing in the 980TI won't hurt too much)

The stock cooler should be fine to begin with, but you can switch it out later if necessary

Most of the parts you have don't have a price, so I've switched them out

  • Better PSU
  • Upgraded the GPU (as test19 said, you won't really get anywhere at 1440p, but this card should be more capable at 1080p)

If you plan on gaming/streaming, get a 2700X, instead of a 3600 (you'll have more resources that you can use for encoding a stream)

GPU is overpriced, too, so I switched it for a newer unit

  • Newer PSU
  • Swapped the single 120mm fan for 2x140mm (they'll push more air, and also will be quieter)
  • Cheaper RAM kit
  • NVME boot drive (it's not a great deal more expensive, but it'll be superior when it comes to system responsiveness and boot times)
  • Newer HDD (has a larger cache)
  • Better GPU (Sapphire is the OEM of the 5700 chips)

For 4K playback, you don't really need to focus on VRAM, as you only need something that will be able to quickly decode a video stream, and has HDMI 2.0 (the 1650 Super should be quite enough)

So for his use, a 580 would not really have much use (plus, there's also going to be increased noise and power draw)

VRAM =/= performance (sure, you can crank up the details all you want, but it isn't really what determines performance)

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-gtx_1650-super-turing/2 (not far behind a 590 which isn't dissimilar to the 580)

Even if you are using it for those purposes, a faster drive will help with system responsiveness and for cache speed

What don’t you like about the case? (the Pro M offers increased airflow, and more space than the Vector RS)

No worries.

Oh, and now that you’ve mentioned cooling, the 212 EVO should suffice, but if it does prove to be insufficient (temps are either out of control or higher than your liking), any of these units should be a worthy upgrade.

It’s mostly QC issues with the chips (likely reason why there seems to be issues)

No problems, glad to help.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, you could also add some more fans, and flip the intake to the side of the case (you don’t have that much in the way of airflow options in the front)

https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/195048-corsair-200r-fan-setup

Or you could just get a completely new case (probably your better option)

For the two screens, I'd do this

Main screen (games, etc)

Side screen (anything from this filter can be used, as it's mainly for side applications)

Few things

  • Get an SSD

  • That case isn't good in terms of airflow, so I'd see if you can spend a little more

RX 570s can be had from around $90-100 (used). Used eBay as a reference, but you could also try Craigslist, r/hardwareswap, AliExpress, etc

https://www.ebay.com/b/AMD-Radeon-RX-570-Computer-Graphics-Cards/27386/bn_110678248?rt=nc&_sop=15

As for RGB, upHere/darkFlash/Aigo fan kits can be had pretty cheaply for around $30

First upgrade I’d get would be the PSU (that EVGA unit isn’t really that good)

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qn7v6h/seasonic-focus-gold-650w-80-gold-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-650fm

Then I’d give the CPU a bit of kick (this should serve as a reference)

https://www.overclock.net/forum/5-intel-cpus/1401976-gigabyte-z87-haswell-overclocking-oc-guide.html

And the GPU

https://rog.asus.com/articles/gaming-graphics-cards/a-simple-guide-to-overclocking-your-graphics-card-with-gpu-tweak/

This should give you a little bit more punch, especially considering the 4790K should handle most things now (it may struggle with some heavier things, though)

I’d still get a GTX 1650 Super (if it’s used for PS/videos, CPU power is what you want)

However, if you do other things/need a more powerful graphics chip/start going to 4K/8K, etc, I’d get something like a 2060/2070/2080 Super or even a TI (they’ll have more beef for higher resolutions)

SGCC is also a type of metal, so you don’t have to worry about that

https://www.finishing.com/574/91.shtml

Dimensions appear to be the same, too, so I’d say it’s down to what is cheaper.

to assist better 2x RX590 in CF,to acquire similar specs (MOTHERBOARD + GPU S combo,in same price range )

CrossFire support is limited, and it won't scale with all titles. You'd be better off getting that 1660 Super, or an RTX 2060 Super/RX 5700 instead

,but the 1 Tb Sabrent NVME is much better in similar price range, due to better specs only

Apparently Sabrent switched the controllers (they use Phison E8, not the E12 used in similar drives).

A2000 is slightly cheaper, and should offer just as much punch

https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/9203/kingston-a2000-1tb-nvme-pcie-gen3-2-ssd-review/index6.html

but it lacks a second 5.25 necesary bay,to keep a Bluray+fan controller

Fan controllers aren’t really needed (if you’ve got a PWM fan, you can use the BIOS, or another tool, like ASUS’ Fan Expert to control them).

Nor do you really need an optical drive (if you do need one, one 5.25” bay is enough)
