You will enjoy the k70 also if you need an help with headphones I can help im a crazy audiophile. What type of music do you like to listen also how long would you have the headphones on?
It's a crazy good cpu, i stress mine out so much and it can handle it, i ran benchmarks yesterday + watched 2 streams at once with a youtube video and rendering for some homework all under 55*C :D
Did you repaint the cpu cooler?
Let's see, in the order of upgrades as they usually go, depending on how much space you need, you might have to add another hard drive from around 2 years. Maybe another 8 gb ram once games get more intensive. The cpu is fine and all you need for gaming. But one thing I know for sure is that the stock cpu cooler after a year or so will start to loose its cooling efficiency so that's the first thing that will happen. The expected lifetime of that pc will be 6 years plus if you do constant updates and keep the pc clean. By then you might have to do some updates or make a new pc.
Yes it already has one, you can see it here on the asrock website, go to the 5 th image http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20H97%20Performance/
Nice choices on the parts, the motherboard comes with a adapter already, are you trying to get a wireless adapter instead?
Besides that I would get a 970 to get an ssd to make your pc faster, you won't see much of a difference between a 980 and 970 with the monitor you will get, nice choice by the way.
In your case then you will be fine with the devastator keyboard. The mechanical keyboard market is getting saturated with new "switches," what makes the keyboard mechanical and well causing inflation, prices are way to high for what they should be. If you live near a micro center or best buy they have mechanical keyboards on display so you can see the feel. But you will be fine with the devastator as a start. If you ever do decide in the future, don't fall into the advertisements since their are a lot of lies going around. If you have anymore questions about anything I'll be glad to help.
Well this can be very subjective to a person so it all really depends. Mechanical Keyboards have a major custom-ability to it and which can start anywhere from $80 and go all the way to $300 or more. A membrane one can be well, all over the place depending on which one you get and from what brand.
Depending on what you decide to do with the keyboard, play games, type, etc... some things not matter. One thing for sure, once you go mechanical you will never use a keyboard the same and you will always be very picky to what you use.
What will you mainly be doing with these?
I like the keyboard, it has a similar feel to mx browns, that's why its one of the 2 membrane keyboards i can go back to. The other being the k360.
It was ok but I didn't like it that much since im used to a bigger mouse. If you decide on the devastator keyboard try out the mouse and if you don't like it you can always get a better one.
Redragon Karura | Redragon ASURA | Logitech G105 | CM Storm Devastator | Logitech Wireless Keyboard K360
I have used the k360 and the devastator keyboard, either of those would be my choice if I had to go back from mechanical keyboard.
Try looking on here here are some really good ones, best sellers with the avago sensor
I would go for the logitech one, another good one is the cm storm devastator bundle too
Downclock/undervolt it but that hits the performance of the cpu
If you are on stock cooler then you can lower it down.
That's windows 8 for ya
list the full links otherwise we cant see it
That's really good
One thing, after a year or so getting a real cooler might help since stock coolers tend to get a little hot.
Only for hard drives with capacity 3tbs or more if its 1 or 2 tb their fine. Once you overload the storage and get the hdd filled up some of their drives derp and can crash from an error.
I'm on a stock cooler for now and mine is supper silent and temps always stay under 50C.
some people are stubborn sometimes and make things too hard for themselves
if that was true so many problems would happen......
Then you can upgrade to a 980 and remove the case/os and then also choose your preference on maybe a higher resolution monitor and/or keyboard and mouse.
Here you go
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Its only on a few not all seagates drives
Gpu boss or any chain of that website is really biased, use tech report or Anandtech or pcper instead. But 280x beats the 960 for sure. I know this from owning both until I sold the 960
