you made a valid point, dude: yeah, there's still probably some performance of the card left on the table, and once i upgrade to AM4 socket, i'll see so much difference there, i do agree. but the question for me is do i want to go out and spend money on a new R5/R7/Threadripper, or do i want to wait a few months for the new R3000 series chips to come out and have all the intital bugs and kinks worked out?

Congratulations, you’re able to read and connect that to a joke that was worn out and tired 10 years ago! What are you, 12?

I actually maintain insane frame rates with this cpu. I’ve got it overclocked and overvolted so it’s performing amazingly well

I don’t disagree with you, but most of this was bought to get a budget build for gaming going. I was broke lol and this was my first build. I’m in the process of getting a threadripper rig built

before my brother in law gave me this 1080ti, i had my gtx 960 in this same setup, and i was managing to play battlefield 5 at ultra setting between 62-70 frames a second (i have a video up on youtube showing it and i can provide the link if you call BS), and it ran mass effect andromeda on high at about 70 fps

nah, that's an empty ejuice bottle for my vape. i run an iJoy captain pd270 with an omega mods bft+ rdta lol. that was a 10 ml bottle of vapewild.com's october 2018 mystery flavor lol

Absolutely brother, it's no problem! i got a bottle of detox for a piss test for a new job on my desk lmao. nah, i got my ssd mounted in one of the hard drive bays, surprisingly. i actually just completely stripped the thing apart a few weeks ago, took everything apart, cleaned it all, put new thermal paste where thermal paste was needed, and thoroughly cleaned fans and everything. but my roommates smoke cigarettes so my **** gets dusty quick lol

I understand this build looks as much a **** show as the entire Ugandan Knuckles VS Perfect Cell dbz abridged parody arc on YouTube, but like ColdConduct said: who cares? Guarantee you that you put your enthusiast build against my home brew in gaming, and I guarantee you that you won’t be able to tell a difference where humans can actually physically see a difference

Just so everyone knows: this build looks like ****, is dusty as ****, and may not be up to a lot of enthusiast standards, but I am a electrical engineer: I’ve tuned my parts individually so my entire PC runs like Barry Allen on meth. It’s fast, not pretty

i was getting 1070 performance out of my 960 with this exact same setup bro. and i know because i tested multiple different cards in this exact rig. i'm getting the full performance out of my 1080 and the rest of my components

first, took the words out of my mouth. second, it's just like a car, man: the computer itself is not just a sum of the individual parts, but how they're tuned, and how they're used

i actually don't experience any sort of bottlenecking anywhere. i've got my cpu overclocked, my memory is running at a higher clock speed with lower latency thanks to AMD OverDrive, and i'm using my SSD 90% of the time. the only components i bought out of this system were storage, mobo, cpu, and cooler. my brother in law actually gifted me the 1080ti, the ram, and the case

Honestly, my brother in law sold me the board, cpu, and cooler because he saw my pitiful first build
