its a mod
yea i need to update my pics i had it all set to just 255 green.
works great, i use it as a second monitor but my kids game on it occasionally
Piece of junk never worked since i got it, even got an rma on it and the new one never worked. they never got it working. their tech support is horrible. i used to think Gigabyte was good but after all the systems i built with their stuff ive realized about 1/4 of it is alright equipment the rest is junk don't buy their stuff with the exception of a few good items they make. honestly almost all the companies out there have these problems. its hard to buy something and get an actual working/non false advertised product. Sold this system.
ok, ill try to get them up, i had to Mod the graphics area slightly making a cut out for the DP and HDMI connectors. i had to drill a larger hole in front panel for the 19mm switch i used because i wasnt paying 30 for a switch i didnt even like and amazon had these for $4.55.
Well, yes if you look at noctua's site they list the 9900 as fully compatible 65w(heat may be an issue because you cant control the cpu). tho you cant underclock or undervolt a locked cpu if i remember correctly. thats why i went for the 9900k. mine is actually overclocked from base of 3.6GHZ to 4.0 locked on all cores, then undervolted to 1.25volts it maxes out at 69W. if you want to just save money get a K cpu thats lower end like the 9600k or 9700k there 6 and 8 core without Hyper threading. im actually very interested in getting my hands on a 9900KS to see how that would undervolt because of its superior silicone. if your just looking for maximum GHZ (speed) then dont waste your time and build something with space for watercooling. There is also a 35W model 9900T, but its clocks are really low.
i can, what do you want to see specifically? yes a C6 thats 3 pole grounded.
yes the aorus commander
its in the back panel behind the colored fans using a push pull effect
Beautiful! lots of corsair tho, hope you don't have the same RMA issues i have had.
I think i posted the pics with the old black one it came with, i need to put more pics up sorry, the 40mm fan is on the power supply and run off the motherboard. As for the Lego comment, i build Lego models too lol. Most of my PC's are just sitting in my house unused. I've sold like 2, I'd like to sell more and do more builds but no ones really buying PC's anymore.
yea newegg has an exchange only policy on this card
I feel like they don't even test these in the factory. its like we are their testers...
Actually performancepc.com...but now i have just added another controller and removed them.
yep my testing revealed- 4.1=60c-61c, 4.2=64c-65c, 4.3=69c-70c, 4.4=74c-75c, 4.5=79c-81c and i did not go further because i do not want my cpu to throttle or heat up my other components in my case.
Sure can actually went to 4.5 but with more heat than i prefer.
theres 3 more in my air case
what GPU bracket is that?
I have a very similar build, I'm curious how do the 2 commander pro's work together? show up as 2 different devices? do the USB hubs on them still cause problems passing thru other devices? personally i didn't buy a second one because the first wouldn't even pass thru a lighting node from their own company.
actually very good, i was surprised never goes over 63c, and that was stress testing it
i took the frame apart and drilled out the holes for 140mm installed it and bolted the frame back up
finished version uploaded
finished version has been uploaded
im posting a pic of the vertical gpu also
i don't recommend vertical GPU. i have tried it with the LIan LI kit, and sent it back its just it didn't fit well and you loose 2 120mm fans in the process, the cooler master one ive seen fits also and u can keep your fans if you have the right motherboard, either way the pcie cable is bent like hell back there. the way i did it it isnt bent up or cramped and has air flow to all the components.
i will be building a dynamic version as well now for my wife she wants the white version of it.
there is actually room for the new stretched mini itx size boards like "Onda H310C-CD3" that support processors from 6th-thru 9th gen intel. awesome right?
did my research this motherboard performance is actually above most of the $500 high end boards and Matx...
600mm was perfect/cost effective pcie 3.0 x16 the avermedia with removed pci bracket fits in rear fine.
the only difference between this version and the dynamic is the 3 fans in the front panel (this is 100% removable!!)
Overkill, i plan to go amd in the front then move my 8086k to the rear
NICE job i built one too check it out
working on uploading some now
how did you solve the problem of both pumps/fans/sata/molex/etc running regardless of which system is running? i dont think the engineers on the dual system thought about one system being turned off...
The issue i see is if you had a 9900k and a titan PCIEx16 (the new one) there is a bottleneck with the lanes if the NVME(PCIEx4) drives are on the same lanes as one or the other. So for upgradability in the future/or if they come out with a new say 9950k 10 core or whatever...your stuck sharing lanes in that senario. PCH is DMI3.0=PCIEx4. ideally seperating the NVME PCIE storage from the vid card is best.
How do the PCIE lanes split since the NVME drives go straight to the cpu? do you have a graphics bottleneck due to this? is the graphics card run off the PCH? i will post pics and update you when my board comes in. its now on back order.
Amazing. This has to be the best build on the site, cleanest build Ive seen to date. I really love this PC. good job im amazed! only wish i had the time required for such a feat.
sweet that's what i was looking for, anything stand out bad about this board? any buyer beware? i had heard it has thunderbolt issues but idk if that's been fixed in a bios update or what.
are you overclocking memory or CPU? if so what are your motherboard temps on full load?
are you overclocking memory or CPU? if so what are your temps on full load?
beautiful build, are you overclocking memory or CPU? if so what are your temps on full load?
i also have the same case/ motherboard and the heat issues were so bad i scrapped it. your mods give me hope and im going to try again with this case. thank you.
yea but small can be ok if it can fit a 240mm radiator and 3 or 4 fans itll be ok
as far as im concerned going small itx is a mistake, i have tried many times only to hit walls with heat issues. or performance issues. Small itx you cant OC or use radiators to cool. its kind of a cache 22. The dancase a4, and a few other like it interest me but you cant fit a big enough radiator in it, so unless u go low i5 u will still have heat issues.
nzxt h200 or phanteks mini itx
yes but still this case has massive cooling issues and other issues i wasnt able to deal with
The HUE is needed for the fan and light strips. The CPU is done off USB with NZXT software "CAM". "CAM" is used for both HUE and CPU cooler.
sometimes i do, sometimes i sell or gift them.
