I haven't seen anyone post the most efficient way so here goes... GAMING CHAIR, instant boost to gaming ability.
Pimax 4k, uses openvr I believe so it works with most games developed for PC. (~350 USD)
Any of the windows mixed reality headsets. (~250-550 USD)
There's probably some cheaper, questionable source, headset out there but those are the two I know that are more budget then the Vive/rift.
The 3.0 port requirements is actually just one for the headset, one for the main sensor. I'm not entirely sure if it's required for either one but that's what's recommended. If they're not looking at getting one today or haven't already gotten it I can see what happens if you use occulus on 2.0, 3.0 USB hub, etc on my pc.
Currently my occulus is plugged into 2x 3.0 ports and 2x 2.0 ports (I have an extra sensor) and I don't see any issues while playing games.
What part of battery? (Snare line best line)
If you ever tried battery percussion that's all that is. Set music, set times, no creativity required. (For playing) best part about it all my snare section included giving the bird in our show three years in a row.
Sadly traded my 929 for a Droid turbo 2 because of Android... Now the screen and body of my phone is chipped and marked all over the place...
If it's a Nokia you can throw it in the air and play hot potato with yourself, worked wonders for me since I only risked breaking whatever surface my phone it! :D
If I play RTS's too long without a shooter I find dropping my sensitivity to about half what it normally is and working my way back up helps me regain any shred of precision I had before. I have a rather large mouse pad surface so I usually drop it to 400 dpi with around 10-20% sensitivity in games. Then about once every couple days of playing I raise either one until it feels uncomfortable.
This is just my method it may work for you or not but I can say for certain it helps me get 3-4x the amount of kills on Insurgency.
Personally the switch was too overhyped on it's abilities and isn't worth the $300 tag for the console and $40-60 tag for each game. Not that vr isn't overhyped but it's just such a new experience it's totally worth the tag (imo). Not a single person I've had use my rift or Vive took it off without being amazed how different it was.
If you do go vr just know great games are few (but cheaper than switch overall) and it's not something most people can get as much use out of because of physical space and each person's ability to do vr is different because of motion sickness and eye strain from wearing the headset. If you don't have the physical space I'd recommend the Vive every day otherwise if you don't and won't any.time soon, I wouldn't invest in vr as the pimax 8k is soon (supposedly) and there's always rumors of second versions of the vive and rift.
Did you ever drop your phone next to someone with an IPhone just to see the look of horror on their face? My 929 survived 3 years of drops because I'm bad with holding phones...
The game isn't dead simple as that, however the player limit hovers between 800 and1500 it seems. That may not be a lot of people but you can always find a full server in your region with both skilled and novice players so no matter what your skill is at the game you won't be alone. Along with that though there is frequent sales and sadly some more experienced players push away some people through certain tactics.
Most importantly though, Offworld has been holding off on V10 for almost a year and there is a very good chance once they drop that more players will come back to the game as well as new players purchasing the game boosting the player population substantially for a while.
If he plays a lot of indie games he's gonna struggle a little to get a stable 60hz max settings anyways. Poor optimization > computing power.
Yea I have those but the way monsoon does it it adds anywhere from 30-45mm of extra space and I don't have that on my case :P
If you found an easier way to mount it to a radiator then I did it's be nice to know. :p (sawed the 25mm extensions down to 4mm and grinded a mm off the MMRS clamp part)
I was just thinking I've NEVER seen the MMRS in a finished build online and then this appears three days after mine arrives. o.O
I just hope mine turns out half as good. +1
I would say Cavaliers cause I just liked their shows more but my drum instructor for drumline was from them.... He was a **** and pretty much ruined the last 2 years.
Even if you buy a disc in stores there's a good chance it'll require a Steam account to register, same with sites like Humble Bundle. If you're looking to save a little bit more get a Humble Bundle monthly subscription, you get a set of pretty decent games every month for $12 and you save 10% on their store which frequently has newer games on discount already.
Well I know what I'm going to be doing for a while now... I didn't think they would still work on euro truck when American trucks out!
Do you need a mod for euro truck? Haven't tried project cars yet but dirt rally and assetto Corsa work extremely well and don't cause too much discomfort when you start rolling. Even got my new roommate addicted to dirt within one week of meeting him because of the rift.
Onward if youre into shooters, and Arizona sunshine is a really good example of what vr can be.
Also they're aren't designed just for vr but racing games with vr are amazing. You can fly down the road and flip without the pain from rolling off a cliff.
Well I figured somewhere near there since if you joined in 07 you'd have been 2 lol.
Roblox was better during the 07-09 years :/
Cause manufacturers either put it right up against the chassis/PSU or put it right on display for all to struggle to find a way to hide it
Where are they taking pre orders?!?
I'd say wait for fallout 4 vr but that's if you have a Vive...
Not your fault they were unprepared in case of accidental pilot ejection.
The best way to fly is to get a full Chinook, fly up 2km, announce in a flight attendant voice "thank you for flying air [whatever] we're beginning our pilotless decent starting now", and double tap v.
Don't forget q parachute.
Does anyone really NEED anything for gaming? I mean at least it's serve a purpose unlike a $600 "gaming" chair. :3
A keyboard that aims for me in shooters... I need the advantage.
If you're in good servers yes, otherwise I've seen people go 120 : 8 in a game were the average amount of kills is 20-30.
In my opinion it's got the same movement and combat feel but the maps are generally larger and higher player counts change the focus of the game to a faster paced push more than anything.
Although my opinion will always be biased cause I love this game almost as much as my computer.
There's an "outside" world...?
The only thing anyone needs is RGB.
When was the last time you used your computer and is it an hdd or ssd?
Look at Bitwit's hotline Miami build if you're thinking about black silver and purple. (Only one I can remember seeing)
Edit: it's actually black silver and pink* but it's close to a bright purple which is what I was thinking.
I'm tired of these black and red builds... I wanna see red and black for once!
Yea I wish I chose the quiet edition XD
Are they quiet edition or performance edition first of all and are they full 2300 RPM lol. My fan headers set all 4 of mine on my radiator to max speed.
Quickly learned NOT to buy corsair sp120 high performance edition with a motherboard where the PWM doesn't work well... I learned what a real jet engine must sound like...
Chances might be as good as Vega being king!
You really aren't going to get a g-sync monitor that's high res/refresh without getting close to 700. Freesync is like the name and actually free so it's harder to find a monitor without it than it is with it.
Could always hope Vegas as good as the hype lol.
If you don't mind slight reductions in graphic settings 1440p 144hz is reachable by a single 1070. Otherwise you won't be getting full frames on most modern games (I have a slight addiction to games and got good use of my 1070). Otherwise if your okay with the bleeding wallet g-sync will help with the the lack of frames still providing a butterier feeling than 60hz.
If you want full butter get a 1080p. This is mostly repeating what others have said but just reaffirming them in a way since I've played prolly 100+ games on an EVGA 1070 FTW. (Just sold it for waterblocks for a couple TI's otherwise I'd offer benchmarks in any game I own.)
The only way your gonna keep the budget within 500 and have a 4k in there is if you buy something like the Acer G246HL for $110 and stick with Acer and the only 24" 4k Newegg lists is the AOC VX2475Smhl for $400.
I would really recommend going 27" (A. It's cheaper. B. It'll be easier to get the bezels to line up)
In the 27" category there's the Acer G276HL (Imo the best budget monitor series) and for the editing one the LG27UD58P (literally because it's the cheapest 4k, deep thought in that one)
HOWEVER, I would say screw everything I just say and get Acer XG270HU.
Everything I've suggested is just based on personal experience and trying to follow the constraints to said. There isn't much you should do if your trying to get a gaming AND editing screen, especially if you want 4k on a budget for one. 1440p 144hz is the middle ground albeit a single monitor solution.
And if your brother plans on max settings at 1440p/4k yes the 1080 is worth it, TI being preferable.
Hope this helps if it was even on time lol, feel free to question anything I've said happy to answer.
well go put it outside and find out! best place for plenty of room!
Follow up... If your room is sunny during the day does it block tracking every so often. I tend to play after dark anyways but still good to know.
Most reviews I see skip this CRUCIAL question.
I say take a hammer to the enclosure and rejoice in the blazing speeds only a 5400 rpm drive can bestow. (Otherwise if you want to do it the boring way it should just plug in normal data)
How good is the tracking on Oculus, I got the vive and have been thinking about getting the Oculus to play games with family. (Also how many sensors do you have, I'm assuming 2 based on price?)
Do anything in 8k?
