What did you have to do to vertical mount the GPU?
If I cranked the fans higher, it would probably help temps, but it runs fine
Honestly, it runs fine, getting a 1080ti blower style cooler soon which will help.
I had used the watercooling adapter from NZXT before for that Strix, but I took it out since it wouldnt fit right in this case. I cooled it with a H60. Would 100% @ 58c.
Yeah! Works great i out a corsair h55 on it
Wow! I thought my Strix 1080 was big. Im actually putting a nzxt kraken g12 bracket and a corsair h55 on my strix. Waiting to see how that turns out
Beautiful build but.. Damn thats a huge 1080... Lol all in all nice work +1
Nice build, i got my 7700k to 4.8ghz at 1.245volts. Idle at 35-38c on air. Currently replacing my case and cooler and such and aio cooling my gpu (1080 strix) so its not up atm. Anyways, nice build im eventually getting another strix at some point for sli as well
Have you tried lowering the VCCPLL OC voltage on your mobo? I used a lazer sensor gun for monitoring temps as some people said this just causes the cpu sensor to read that it is cooler. I was getting odd jumps in temps like a spike from 45c (idling before) to 85c just from opening a browser. I lowered my VCCPLL OC voltage from 1.250 to 1.110V and it went from a 45-48c idle to a 32-34c idle and a load temp of 85c to 72c max on air. My 7700k is not delidded. My 7700k is running at 4.8ghz at 1.245V
Hmm, I havent delidded my 7700k and I idle on 30-34c on air. @ 4.8ghz OC with 1.245V on the Vcore. No more than 70c at 100% load for air cooling.
Did you leave the midplate on the gpu? I have a 1080 strix (non ti), I bought the g12 and a h55 aio for it. Wondering if you needed a copper shim or not to put between the gpu and the cooler?
Dumb question, but what did you do to mount your top rad in push config? M4 screws?
Looks great. Does it run well? Anything you wish you did differently? Hows that case working out for you? Dust build up bad?
How does this case manage dust?? Im interested in getting it, just unsure about how much dust build up happens. Nice build. +1
Nice pics and build. Did a great job. Anything in particular you wanted to do but didn't? You should check out my builds. C:
I was thinking about delidding but it voids the warranty
Nah, its fine now. It jumps but doesnt go above 70c with the jumping at 4.7 ghz oc and 4.9 turbo. My dark rock 3 handles it nice with arctic silver 5. Build works great. And im using the motherboard oc settings from gigabyte software and it never goes above 1.32 volts. Goes to .65 volts on idle and down to 30c. At max load it hits 70c
It's really nice. I have my operating system and Warcraft on it. Wow loads up super fast and no more stuttering like on the HDD. Works great. Wows code sucks though. Ican run GTA 5 on 4k at 60fps. Yet wow at 1080p hits 40 fps during raids.
Was working on it. Got sidetracked. Didn't know it posted.... Lol
I didn't take the cooler off but the chipset under the CPU did not get hot at all. The heatsinks next to it did however of course.
Seeing if that will fix it. The case is not shorting it out either although no need for standoffs because the bitfenix neos has bumps in it for the mobo so it doesn't touch the whole case
I switched my gpu into it and nothing. Returning old mobo and cpu. I got a msi 990fxa brand new mobo and a brand new FX 6300 black edition
I put my r9 390x in it and still nothing
I switched mobo got a brand new msi 990fx board. Gpu works fine in my comp. i used my psu and it still wont display video. It boots up and doesnt shut off but still no video... I have no idea. Im frustrated. Havent tried the cpu switched yet sincr i run intel
It's a good mouse I have large hands as well. Works fine for me
I dont think its the cpu
Not sure what else to do besides replace the mobo!
Yep i did. Im not getting any video at all even by changing montiors. The other slot is a x4 so it doesnt work well. No video from that either. The gpu works in my rig though. His comp runs windows 10.
Computer screen went black now, not aure what the issue is. Warcraft was running it just went black screen and now it wont display video at all. All fans turn on and front usb and front ports work. Ssd light is green and hdd spins. Gpu works as i put it intomy computer to check. Still wont boot even with my gpu in it. Unlikely that the processor died. Very weird. I tried my psu as well from my inwin build. Nothing changed. Dont know wht else to do. It wont display video and no beeps from mobo? Its not the gpu. Im assuming its the mobo but can tbe sure.
Dads mobo went dead i think. He was playing wow and its not the gpu in my dads computer i tested it in mine. Huge headache. Fans turn on and stuff. Front usbs work and such. No video output and no beeps from mobo. Gigabyte 970a ds3p. No video outputeven with my 390x in it. Getting nothing. Turns on but reset button doesnt work and hdd led blinks and fans run but getting no video or beeps. Cant tell if it's cpu or mobo issue????
Windows 10 is like 10-20gb
Yep, its the diamondback. It's a great mouse. No issues with anything for me. I keep it updated by the razer synapse software. Lights are nice. Skinner mouse that goes up to an ungodly 16000 dpi with their software. It feels nice in hand and has rubber grips on the sides. It's an ambidextrous mouse. Scroll wheel works fine for me. Squeaked a little when I first got it but it just needed to be broken in.
I'll look into it thanks:o
Yea. Got it cheaper than a 32gb ssd.
Runs great. No problems on Warcraft. He's coming from an intel core 2duo e4700 processor... Lol
I havent tried to oc it yet. It runs everything on max as it is
Yeah its an awesome card. Looks nice too
I havent overclocked mine. Dont know how to feed voltage and such.
I use a dark rock 3 and it's max tdp is like 195 or 225w and my CPU is only 95 watts I think. It's a beast of a cooler.
Ryzen may be good. I run an intel 6700k in my pc. Won't be upgrading for awhile
My dads pc has a fx 4300 in it and runs everything on medium or high settings fine at 1080p with the gtx 660ti 3gb. Good enough lol
Nice, sounds good. I don't run a custom water cooled loop. I run air, works fine for me. Custom loops are cool though. And yeah it will look nice.
I was pretty surprised with the performance of the computer for this price. 660ti is a great card still
Nah, it just bothers me cause I'm a silence freak
Looks nice, cables could be organized a bit better and not taped together? Beastly build though.
