Have plans to upgrade to a high end GPU soon and the highest end Ryzen 4000 series when it comes out. The 3600X was just something to have in the mean time for cheap and the 1060 6GB was a old card I had so I decided to use it until I upgrade that to a high end GPU which will he soon.
Damn. I already have this power supply. What makes it exactly low end? What power supply should I get? What would you recommend?
Both the same speed and capacity. Thank you for clearing this up! Just saved me from potentially wasting my money.
I'm gonna look at my case to see if a case fan will work
I agree with you on that but I've had the soundcard laying around for awhile and want to put use to it
It was verified by Gigabyte through a RMA that everything is fine but I just wanted a second opinion. Don't want that little bit of thermal paste to be an issue
I only asked because my sound card stopped working out of no where. It was making static noises while I had my head phones plugged in for two months. It's safe to say it has failed. I'm going to RMA it. I got it to register for 4 seconds, then it died again.
I'm going to attempt to fix it tomorrow night. If nothing works, then the Optane Memory might be bad.
Thank you! I fixed it.
I reset the CMOS and still the same problem.
I'm going to give them one last chance when the replacement motherboard comes. Hopefully, it won't give me problems.
This is the second time I had to RMA this board.... Oh well.
Do you have the slightest idea what it could be? I already RMA the same board once and I really don't want to go through the whole process of taking apart my computer and putting it back together again......
So, it might be a bad CMOS battery? I did unplug my PC for a week and after doing that, that's when I got this error.
What does chipset initilizing error even mean?
I never expected this thread to blow up like this! Wow! Lol thanks
Attune, thank you for the suggestion. I didn't even think about that.
I'm using this for gaming, general video and photo editing, YouTube, browsing, and some multitasking and so on.
My mom and dad would never have to work again in their life
I came from a 1.65 GHZ HP 2000 laptop. I swear, it was the slowest thing on the planet. Now I have this and I cannot believe how fast this computer is! I can't wait to put a SSD in and try one out for the first time. This is my new PC PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Build her a PC for something she enjoys. Tell her she can store all of her photos and videos on it. Tell her all the benefits of having a nice PC as well. Maybe, just maybe, she'll love it
Get a 250GB SSD drive as the operating system drive and use the hard drive for games and bulk storage.
Your better off getting a full time job. Stick to building PC's for your friends and family.
Vareten, I'll never understand how people can build a custom loop water cooled PC. Knowing me, I'd screw up and get a leakage and ruin my computer
For me it has to be how much more you can do on a PC compared to a console. You can mod games, edit videos, browse the internet, a million programs to choose from, a bunch of free games you can download, you can upgrade your hardware, Steam, and the fact you can customize the hell out of your PC! I'm missing a bunch more reasons but that is enough. My favorite PC moment was when I built my first PC not to long ago and seeing it start up for the first time!
I have to disagree with you. I think LED lighting inside the case makes you're build look like a work of art. Plus, it just looks plain sweet!
If you have the extra cash, I seriously would consider the NXZT S340 Elite. It's hands down one of the best cases I've seen and used. It's a little pricey at $99 but it's worth it in my opinion. I'll never buy a cheap case again
I'll definitely make sure
They you so much! I bought stand offs for nothing haha. Oh well. I'll have them for back up
I know how to clone the operating system. Looks like I am getting a SSD soon
The only good thing about hard drives is you can get bulk storage for so cheap. That's why a lot of laptop's and desktops have hard drives. If you think a SSD Sata drive is fast, check out the NVME SSD. They make regular Sata SSD's look like toys. My friend has a NVME is his desktop and I cannot believe how responsive it is!
The first EA Battlefront was disappointing. I hope EA's Battlefront II doesn't let me down
Okay. I really hope nothing is damaged.
The motherboard has a 5 year warranty and it has great upgrade features and someone might be getting me a full HD monitor for Christmas so the motherboard paid itself off practically. As for the theme, I'm putting blue LED lights inside the case to make it look good
I'm building a desktop soon
I don't plan to play games on Linux. I just plan on using it for video editing since it has the best free software in my opinion.
I always heard Nvidia is better than AMD graphics for Linux?
Out of all these builds, which will give the best frame rates for modern games and have the most processing power?
Rebates or no rebates, doesn't matter
Post as many build configurations possible (Full PC build with without the OS) and I can choose from there
Can I see a AMD configuration with a AMD processor and a ATI graphics card?
