"I want to be able to play at 1440p. I'm not one of those 4k guys who insist on 60fps at 4k resolutions! What can I build myself that can accomplish this? What can I build myself TODAY that can accomplish this?" This build would make 4k 60fps its b**** in quite a few AAA games

I don't care what anyone on God's Green Earth says. Unless your OCed CPU is running on wizard magic, 6 cores WILL NEVER be as good as 8 in multi-threaded performance.

The 6320 is not at all anything like the 8320... The 6320 has 6 cores and the 8320 has 8... you cannot overclock a 6 core to perform as well as an 8 core. Please do your research next time.

The R9 280 cannot utilize CUDA acceleration in within the Adobe Suite. Since this build was editing AS WELL AS gamin, then the 960 is a better choice.

I used Plasti Dip Rubber Paint. It actually came in massive handy, cause a few weeks later I had to RMA my card and had to peel off the paint. A little note, for those hard to reach areas where you cant peel it off, just soak it in WD-40 overnight, and use a toothpick to scrape it off. It works like a charm.

The 8320 is a monster for editing. Definitely take the time to overclock that thing to at least 4.5. You should easily be able to get that with the hyper 212. have fun with it man! +1

YES! It actually was incredibly easy to remove. I'm not sure about the cooler on the 960 though, because it is not the exact same. Go ahead and watch this video: http://youtu.be/c0yYrcf-0jY Good Luck and thank you for the feedback!

I Don't think anyone will buy a 770 for anywhere close to 500$. Try selling on ebay for 280 or around there... I'd say that's just about the furthest you could go.

Make sure you have the means to overclock! You owe it to this chip to get at least a Hyper 212 Evo. If you're familiar with Cinebench R15 scores, By overclocking my 8320 to 4.7 (Which you dont have to go nearly that far, I just wanted to push it) I gained 180 points in the CPU department and almost 10 FPS in games! To put that into perspective, my original score at stock speeds (3.5GHz) was 550...My overclocked score was 730!!! Thats a massive 25% performance increase. You have to overclock this chip.
