Reallllly interesting idea! Good work.
"I want to be able to play at 1440p. I'm not one of those 4k guys who insist on 60fps at 4k resolutions! What can I build myself that can accomplish this? What can I build myself TODAY that can accomplish this?" This build would make 4k 60fps its b**** in quite a few AAA games
I don't care what anyone on God's Green Earth says. Unless your OCed CPU is running on wizard magic, 6 cores WILL NEVER be as good as 8 in multi-threaded performance.
I used Plasti Dip, but you can use any spraypaint.
Great idea painting the components! I did the same thing in Enthoo Pro, except in white. Looks great! +1
The 6320 is not at all anything like the 8320... The 6320 has 6 cores and the 8320 has 8... you cannot overclock a 6 core to perform as well as an 8 core. Please do your research next time.
the 960 will too... So i'm not sure what you're talking about.
The R9 280 cannot utilize CUDA acceleration in within the Adobe Suite. Since this build was editing AS WELL AS gamin, then the 960 is a better choice.
WHOA! Dude the filters you put on those pictures were sick!
Editing is extremely GPU dependent, so hes probably just waiting for a new shipment.
I used Plasti Dip Rubber Paint. It actually came in massive handy, cause a few weeks later I had to RMA my card and had to peel off the paint. A little note, for those hard to reach areas where you cant peel it off, just soak it in WD-40 overnight, and use a toothpick to scrape it off. It works like a charm.
The 8320 is a monster for editing. Definitely take the time to overclock that thing to at least 4.5. You should easily be able to get that with the hyper 212. have fun with it man! +1
YES! It actually was incredibly easy to remove. I'm not sure about the cooler on the 960 though, because it is not the exact same. Go ahead and watch this video: http://youtu.be/c0yYrcf-0jY Good Luck and thank you for the feedback!
Dude... you did a really ****** job of budgeting...
it sure does!
This deserves more upvotes! Great build man! Absolutely love the case and color scheme. Great Job! +1
DaVinci didn't store the Mona Lisa under a desk... get that piece of art out from under there! +1!
yes I totally agree! I recently painted the PCI slot covers and it looks great! Thanks for the input!
I just tied the number of likes with Ozymandias!
The photography was sub par anyway... not to disrespect cause I absolutely LOVED the build, but try to get your photos in focus every once in a while... at least a little...
Exactly! Enjoy your new baby haha and thanks for checking mine out.
absolutely a work of art. Thank you for your service in the military and congrats on your fist build! absolutely fantastic.
Love love love the build
Builds 2000 dollar gaming PC.
Doesn't take the 10 minutes to think of a name.
Absolutely a work of art.
Should have gone AMD for rendering. WAY Better overclocking, and great multi threaded performance. FOR SO MUCH LESS MONEYS
I think you put the power supply in wrong...
Bahaha no i totally agree with you, titans also have technologies locked on other cards (double point precision). And haha i meant to ask that guy up there who said he did do some 3D modeling.
Yes yes, excellet point. What kind of modeling do you do?
Why didn't you go for a 2 GTX 980s. They have twice the overclocking potential and significantly more power than the Titan Black.
He should be able to maintain about 60FPS Average with Mantle. oddibly with dips into the mid 40's.
Please please please fix the color scheme!!! Ornage and blue and red and gold and black and white and... I'm sorry but am I missing something? Very good build overall, but please fix the scheme. That will be all.
For real one of the best builds I've ever seen! +1bazillion
"Well... that escalated quickly..."
song lyrics "About a week ago"
Oh wow, I feel for you mate. Yeah If that's how it is where you live, then I suspect That you could get around 500.
I Don't think anyone will buy a 770 for anywhere close to 500$. Try selling on ebay for 280 or around there... I'd say that's just about the furthest you could go.
On which CPU is there 2 Cores and 1 thread.
If I may ask, Why?
Oh Haha, and wow I didn't even realize it was you Phil. The 970 looks like a fantastic deal nonetheless... Makes me wonder how Nvidia is going to sell 780 performance for 150 dollars less...
Should have waited for the 970 my friend.
Love your desk setup! +1
Everything. Just wait with this and then wait until a big upgrade. Dont go with an i3.
don't get a haswell i3.
Make sure you have the means to overclock! You owe it to this chip to get at least a Hyper 212 Evo. If you're familiar with Cinebench R15 scores, By overclocking my 8320 to 4.7 (Which you dont have to go nearly that far, I just wanted to push it) I gained 180 points in the CPU department and almost 10 FPS in games! To put that into perspective, my original score at stock speeds (3.5GHz) was 550...My overclocked score was 730!!! Thats a massive 25% performance increase. You have to overclock this chip.
But since the Pentium only has 2 cores... I definitely think the FX 8320 will outperform the pentium. I have an 8320 and it is an awesome chip. Absolutely astronomical overclocking potential.
