on war thunder i average 175fps in air battles and average 125fps in ground battles. i get 90+ fps on all of the other games i play which include borderlands pre sequel, arma iii, and tf2 (tf2 i average 230fps)

i was about to get a 7700k but recently had a friend on discord tell me it would be stupid to do so now. its a good processor but z270 chipset has been rendered obsolete. as a result i will end up with a much better build (and first build) with the i5-8600k soon and im just waiting on the rest of the parts for the build to come in, feel free to check the part list: "Intel Build"

you put yourself at a dead end for upgrades getting that 7700k and z270 motherboard, you should have gotten a z370 and i5-8600k or if you have the money an i7-8700k, if this was done say 6 months ago or a year ago the 7700k would be fine but with the new chipset and processors not now. nonetheless this build is still quite powerful and will perform very well for some time to come and has come quite a ways from an hp pavillion

ya couldve gone with a 7700k i7 and get 4.2 without overclock lol. and the total cost is pretty expensive for what it is.

still gud build though

so the games i currently play on my potato laptop are war thunder on low quality, tf2, and roblox phantom forces because i cant run battlefield lol. but the games i want to get are arma 3, battlefield 4 or 3 or bad company 2, rainbow 6, and war thunder beyond movie quality, which for the most part all arent as gpu heavy and arma is why im getting 7700k

also i changed the psu to a 500w semi modular, the reason i chose that monitor as well was because for the price it is a great monitor with 75hz and 1ms response

so escentially i replaced the power supply with a 550w fully modular and the motherboard and ram, my friend has the exact same gpu and he says its great and 3gb should be good enough, the case i was debating anyway to switch over to the corsair 200r which with your advise i may do
