Yea 850 was WAY to much, but I am planning at some SLI in the far future with the 1070 (when the pricing market for them evens out). Honestly, the GTX 1080 was going to not match my budget, also, I game in 1080 with 144hz downsampling. I didn't need anything more powerful right now.

Yea I would encourage you to try. I have the v2 version of that cooler and those tubs are meant to bend. I wouldn't worry about it too much. When you do switch it, just run the cooler at performance speed via corsair link and just lightly feel both tubes and make sure there seems to be force going through them. Then you should be golden!

thats what I did for my build and corsair AIO's are tanks.

Yeah I don't understand why people do that. Corsair designs those tubes to twist.

UPDATE. So after I have built my pc now, I think I am going to go with 1080p at 144hz gysync because Im looking for those smooth high frame rates rather than the detail of 1440p. Thats what the 1070 is modeled for. 60-70 fps at 1440p, 90 - higher for 1080p. I think Im good with that. Any objections or comments? Im all ears.

Here is a build. The problem is in your budget for a good, no bottleneck system. For a good overclocking build, + a good monitor for the graphics card, you would ideally want to pump in another 100 to 200 dollars for the build.

Im going to wait. I don't mind. I am just going to build my new rig and then wait to put in the 1070. The wait will give me more time to save up money for it. No credit card bill for this guy.

(meanwhile scours sites and pushes the "notify me" button on every retailer.)

Get a separate SSD for a boot drive. Hybrids are great, but their SSD space is very limited and wont store all of windows 10 boot priorities.

I would hold out and wait for your GPU and get the 1070, but if you like the 980, that is one hell of a card.

I feel like you know this build is legit. Go play.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Could I get a build review please?"

You don't need Atx, but the case will fit it and atx boards have more features and look better.

Also I would split that 8gb ups into 2 sticks rather than one, unless you are planning to upgrade to 16gb later with the same stick.

Get an SSD for boot drive if you can afford it. You will want it. Even if it is only 120gb you can throw your go to games on there and they will be very fast.

Processor is great if you are not planning to overclock.

True. I just re evaluated the PC I am about to build to have the i5 rather than the i7, but I don't do any video editing. Only college stuff and gaming. I use an i5 mac at work and do a lot of Adobe work on Ps and Premiere and it can handle almost 5 of the adobe apps open at the same time and it is still speedy.

I will probably be getting the 1070 when it comes out in a custom version from EVGA. Yes I think corsair will be the most reliable when it comes down to quality and support. I like their aesthetic as well.

I will be building it on a wood table but unfortunately that table is on a carpet. My carpet does not collect static easily, so I think it will be okay. Getting the wrist strap just to be safe and its only 5 bucks.

Doesn't the radiator fans for the cpu cooler need fan connectors? There are only 3 system fan headers on the mobo. If not then I guess I don't need it. Again its only 4 bucks, I don't mind being safe and just getting it.

Thanks for the link! I have seen that channel around. I have been following a lot of the newegg and pauls hardware builds to see how things go together. The newegg guide being my guiding light.

Why not an i7 if doing programming? Wouldn't the hyper threading be useful?

Also I would love to hear how the wireless network adapter installation went. I am considering whether or not to do that or buy a USB dongle...

Not quite sure. I am shooting to get a 1070 in my new rig. That what will fit in my budget. But I will probably get the EVGA custom ones they are making. EVGA seems to be the king of custom GPU's. You can find videos of it on youtube from this years Computex.
