I could remove the paint before I send it back should anything happen :)
Yes it's a Nendoroid Kirito
You only get to pick one colour at a time, so I didn't really bother and just stuck with white, or use cpu temp colour tracking. There isn't even an option to let you do like all different colours cycle
Cool! I'll check it out :)
You can easily dismantle the shroud by removing a few screws within the fans and then the red portion is held on by some caches. You don't need to remove the cooler in order to do this so no warranty voided.
I used black Plasti Dip to spray. The rubber paint is removable by peeling (after a few layers so it is thick enough) just in case you mess up or need to send the card in for RMA.
Thanks! Getting the atx cable to "bend" properly was the second most time consuming part haha, first being spraying the gpu.
Under full gaming load I'm seeing around high 60s to the low 70s
Oh, alright. Haha!
Yeah.. The razer mice I had always manages to failed me one way or the other. Plus, I prefer using a hard mat because its easy to clean and doesn't look "used" (after using it for some time) as you get on those soft ones.
Saw that little hole near the SSD and decided to put in the ragout rabbit from the series. not sure if it looks weird though. Updated the images to show a closer look of the nendoroid :)
So true, I think many people didn't mind paying the premium just to go for the strix because of that. Red just sticks out too much :/
Yeah best part is that its peel-able, so no rma issues. crosses fingers
I need to figure out how your names are related haha! You've got me searching it up
What is this meme that you're talking about? I tried searching Pachi and Pavi but didn't get anything though lol
ikr? was really worried about the red when I got it.
No need for a printer because I print everything at work. ssshhh dont tell..
I think I just ran a quick test on timespy and got 9001. Temps on idle with my system apps, basic voice stuff, whatsapp and browsers is about 40 degrees on both cpu and gpu. Also turned on the hybrid mode for the psu and can't hear anything on startup now.
As for the kraken x62, I must say that it fits just nice without having to struggle or anything. If I wanted to do a push/pull config I would need to remove the cable management bar. But that doesn't seem necessary for now I suppose :)
I actually used the S340 Elite build giveaway video that they did as a guide on what cables to connect haha!
I usually watch my jap/korean related shows on kiss anime/asian. A silent voice has showed up there but unfortunately no video uploaded yet :( Guess you could wait for a bit. The quality there is quite good
I believe you can! Are you waiting for price drops or for next gen stuff to hit first?
Yup I read the novel years back and the animation was just sort of a recap for me. The ordinal scale movie was also kinda meh to me
Thanks! I guess a little bit of OCD-ness helps haha
I agree so much on this. Almost went for a strix just because of the colour scheme. But decided to stick to MSI because the rma reputation with Asus is bad in my country :/
Sorry, I didn't video the process but I just sprayed 4 light coats with a 20 minute wait in between them and then a few more because the finishing didn't look so good.
Alright it's done! :)
Looks like the stripes were really overmoulded or glued on too well. I ended up just spraying the whole piece haha. Will do a completed build here once I receive my custom cables!
Thanks for the 4th photo! I am currently building with the same motherboard as well as casing, and was wondering how to hide those cables coming out from the Kraken. Love how you kept the AIO pump lines in place with the power cable, will do the same!
I see, thanks for explaining to me. I suppose you either had to spray the stripes together with the casing, or like you said, do them individually.
It seems like the red stripes were overmolded this time or just glued on. Will try to heat the glue up if there is even any, else I will follow your method. Thanks again!
May I ask, did you remove the red stripes prior to spraying them with plasti dip? If so, how did you remove them?
I'm going to spray mine all black and have already removed the shroud and disconnected the whole LED to the stripes as well, just that the stripes seems to be stuck on there quite well.
