    from completed build Operation Blackbriar

    Overall:
Probably the hardest choice for this build (besides the CPU), was looking for a clean mid range case with lots of glass and good support for water cooling. Other contenders were the Phanteks Evolve, Inwin 909, Thermaltake View 31. While the Evolve was a bit larger, the air flow was not great. Similarly the Inwin looked great, but I would have needed to mod it a fair bit. The Corsair was a great middle ground and looks amazing built.

    Pros:
    1) Tempered glass everywhere, looks amazing
    2) Nice medium size allows for 2x radiators (360mm and 240mm)
    3) Great airflow, probably the best of the tempered glass cases so far

    Cons:
    1) Supplied RGB fans are not Aura Sync (or MSI, etc.) compatible, which means you are paying for them but have to swap them out anyway, should be an option for 'no fans'. Similarly the supplied RGB hub only works with Corsair SPL120, not even other Corsair RGB fans, seems poorly conceived.
    2) Quite a few air gaps around the case (see OC3D review), which means you need to run the case on positive air flow so that all incoming air goes through the dust filters
    3) PSU shround should have had top grommets for motherboard cables as well as a supplied interior shield to hide the cables
    4) The 4x thumb screws for each glass panel are a bit 2016, should upgrade to a slot / release mechanism such as some cases are now doing (NZXT?)
    5) Front I/O needs USB 3.1 type C, and preferrably pass through video for VR
    6) Would suggest getting rid of the front I/O RGB controller and going software only
    7) Front lower Corsair logo and side PSU corsair logo are illuminated white, with no option to change. Should come with RGB LEDs at least to swap out, if not true RGB. Also side Corsair logo requires molex power, very annoying.

Amazing case, wish it had a PSU end cover and the HDD mounts weren't reversed.

Gorgeous case. Some people have problems with wire management but the way I set up my build this case worked just perfectly. If you can get it on sale too all the merrier. Highly recommend!

A truly beautiful case, one of the best looking I've seen. Cooling is superb with the 3x SP120's on the front (these are included with the case), whilst I've added a ML120 on the rear as an exhaust. The case is heavy with the components and tempered glass, but this isn't a bad thing as it feels high quality. Ease of access is simple by hand removing 4 screws per glass panel and in the dark with the components running, you can't even see the glass!. Cable management can be a little tedious, but that's expected with such a case.

I LOVE THIS CASE. Glass everywhere, 3 visible front fans, and the appearance of the glass "floating" really got me into this case. Yes, the cable management kinda sucks, with only one cover on the back to fit all the cables into. Also they really should have covered the front of the PSU shroud and put grommets for the cables going from the motherboard down under the shroud.

Looks great with great airflow for the components. Killer with the added HD120 fans by Corsair as well. Just a really sexy case. The cable management was challenging but definitely achievable.

It’s difficult deciding on what case to go with don’t you think? At first I loved the look of the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Tempered Glass case but then I kept seeing review after review of its restricted airflow so I decided not to buy it. There are literally thousands of cases to sort through in order to find just that special one because it’s your centerpiece, it’s the first thing people see when they get a glimpse of your computer so it has to be an eye catcher.

About that time a couple of cases started emerging with all tempered glass and boy was I hooked. I must have watched every single video on YouTube about this case and I definitely wanted it. The only thing that made me pause in getting it was that the PSU shroud was open on the end and that there was only one cutout at the bottom of the motherboard in the shroud and I’m sorry Corsair for saying this, that’s poor designing on your part.

I set out to find someone that can custom fabricate a better designed PSU shroud for it and I hit gold with a company called Savant PCs and they will customize a better PSU shroud for your Corsair 570x. I had two slots placed at the bottom of the motherboard and another placed front and right for the GPU cables all with grommets. They also put an end cap on it so my PSU cables don’t come through the side. They also made a cutout for the Corsair logo in the front and topped it all off with a nice flat black powder coating. Once I got it I drilled out the rivets on the original PSU shroud and riveted in the new one, you can’t even tell it didn't come stock that way.

With this case, I had an issue with the power shroud being incomplete, and I had to purchase the missing part from the manufacturer's website for $4.99 but they only had it in matte black. I spray painted it white and added an Umbrella Corps metal plate to it.

Love the temper glass on this case. Only negative is the PSU shroud not completely covering the cables. Also replaced the SD fans provided with HD120 RGB fans.
