love this motherboard. i was initially going to the formula due to the added RGB's. but once you have a full build you wouldn't actually be able to see most of then lights anyway so pleased I saved money with getting the Hero. Please note there is a version available called the Hero Alpha which I wasn't aware of at the time of purchasing this. If I had known I would have probably gone for that instead.

This motherboard is all I can ask for, Looks awesome with the ROG logo RGB feature and performs well with an i7.

3 stars as i did receive a DOA unit and the 2nd one was very fickle until updating the Bios via the flash tool. It appears to have settled down a little now. I also had a hard time figuring out where everything went by just reading the manual, admittedly it is my first ever build so inexperience played a part there. May be a tad unjust with 3 stars.

Kinda came in scratched up on the chipset, but it didn't really get to me. I like how the shroud looks and I plan to over up the red accent on the board somehow. I'm not that experience with overclocking so I don't know what to say about it's performance on the processor.

Looks great and very functional. I did run out of USB 2.0 headers though. Also, the GPU covers the SATA ports making removing and adding SATA drives difficult.

I bought this mobo because it had every feature I could want and has fantastic looks. I really like the Bios so far while OCing also which is a huge plus. If anybody has bought Asus products they know how well this company packages their components. Before even using the product it makes you want to order more parts from them(Maybe that is just my addiction to building PC's).

So far I don't have a negative to mention.

Great MB. You just have to go down the rabbit hole to make it work.
