Was on sale when I bought it, is semi modular, and has plenty of room for upgrades. Also gold certified.

Serving me well so far. I was concerned about going with semi-modular but no regrets. The only cable that's embedded already is the mobo power connector which you need to have anyway. The only draw back is if you wanted cables that didn't come with the PSU, you would be stuck with one big black cable along with whatever color scheme you're going for with different cables. But no complaints from me.

I've lost parts in the past due to blown PSUs so I opted to spend extra on this one. Wow, totally worth it - Solid and heavy, modular, flat cables and keeping the power bill down doesn't hurt.
It even comes in a nice box with carrying handle and the cables have nice velcro straps. No expense spared, love it.

Semi-modular is a godsend. I can't imagine how a person would even deal with a power supply that wasn't modular. Love the black cords.

Does what it needs to do, and is very quiet. The fan rarely goes on.

So far so good, quiet fan, wasn't DOA, 80+ Gold, time will tell how long it will last.
