Decently priced, good power delivery, good feature set. RGB is nice but unnecessary. BIOS is....not great. But I can overlook it for all the other positives. It's not like the BIOS is missing features; it's just horribly organized.

I went with the z390 AORUS Ultra motherboard, knowing full well it is almost certainly overkill for my needs. I had seen/read a number of reviews on the z390 AORUS lineup indicating that it probably has one of the best power delivery systems available on a z390 board presently, and cooling solutions to accompany it (there is that thermals theme again). The Ultra iteration is quite similar in a lot of respects to the rest of the AORUS lineup, but one (maybe silly) feature it has over the cheaper iterations is it has a thicker PCB. Knowing I was going with the Dark Rock 4, and XC Gaming Ultra (both quite heavy beefy components), I wanted a more physically durable board to help support them, and the extra layers should hopefully dissipate heat better (this could be broscience, but anyway...) EVGA's z390 FTW board also has a 6 layer PCB, but has been out of stock everywhere since I started shopping. RGB on the motherboard is kind of meh. If that is why you're spending $300 on a motherboard, find something with prettier RGB.

Not sure why I paid this much for a motherboard, but I would pay it again..

Great mobo. Good layout and construction. I just wish the manuals were clear on some of the accessories.

The Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ULTRA was an easy choice keeping in mind that I would be overclocking my 9900k and did not want to take any risk with a basic mobo. Solid VRMs, thick PCB, and very effective heat spreaders were the largest selling points.

Good mobo, really similar to the master but available at smaller price just for few extras for advanced oc. Negative downside is the gigabyte software, really bad especially for the rgb things

Gigabyte motherboards get a lot of hate, but their motherboards have never let me down. Easy to use bios, great hardware. One of the best hardware VRMs for z390 motherboards. If you don't want to spend more for the Aorus Master or Asus Maximus Hero XI, I highly recommend this motherboard

Found this as an open box deal in Amazon and it worked perfectly. I had no issues yet with the mobo. It has plenty of features for muy build; multiple fan headers, RGB zones, OC potential, etc. Was able to enable XMP profile for my memory with no issues.
