EVGA 1000W PS PSU is TOP NOTCH all the way, start to finish. This was the first time I had the honor of working with a Fully Modular Power Supply, and there will be NO looking back. Unless there is some major shift in what they are doing EVGA will continue to have my Business for Power Supplies in the Future, and likely other components when they fit well in the build. Not only Was this PSU a dream to install, with appealing cabling, it is Dead Silent. Can't ask for much more from a Power Supply in my Opinion.

50% off at EVGA from a promo. Cannot be beat for a platinum no less and a 10 year warranty to boot.

Got in on a sale. it was about 80 dollars of so I thought why not. It's 80+ Platinum and 1000w. Will be great if I decide to go for an SLI config but that's really only if someone will give me another 980 ti. Even one of this card is so damn expensive!

Bit overkill for a single-card set up (for now) but I got a great deal on it online, so jumped on it as it'll serve me for a long time.

from completed build My first Intel build

From the start of this build I was attempting to buy parts that were only good items of substantial build quality. This PS is no exemption. The packaging was typical of newer power supplies with the over done pampering of the device. Overall this feels and looks like an industrial price of hardware that instilled confidence. I went with a PS that provides up to double the wattage that my system is spec'ed to use so that I'm fully prepared to over clock or run dual video card etc.

This Power Supply is now covering my 5820K, 2 x MSI GTX 960's, 8 x Spinning Drives, a Samsung 850 EVO SSD, an Asus DVD Burner, and 5 140mm Noctua Fans with no issues whatsoever. And is doing all that without the Fan even needing to kick on while CPU and GPU Mining full boar. Would Highly Recommend. Also look at the EVGA G3 750 they are nothing short of Amazing when it comes to Stable Power and a TON of Great Cabling to hook up loads of stuff..
