Looks great, runs quietly, and is super cheap! Installation is a pain in the *** if you can't get easy access to the back of your mobo, but not worth taking off a star.

from completed build Simple itx gaming system.
Knowing I was going to OC my CPU I had to get a 3rd party cooler and this is what I narrowed it down to.
It is so small this can fit in 99.99% cases and I needed small and this really fits the bill plus it clears the ram area so one can put whatever height of ram with no worries of the cooler getting in the way.
Now putting this together took me for a loop since I am use to just putting the bracket on the motherboard and having it snug/tight when I put the screws on but NOOO this was just slightly (and I mean slightly) loose. I spent an hour online looking at videos/forums etc and still it just would not firm up UNTIL I posted on the forums here and had some super help from mark5916 . It will tighten/firm up when you actually put the cooler on the CPU and then tighten the cooler onto the bracket (it is suppose to even out the tension across the CPU area).
Update 3-18-19: Had a slight issue with applying the warranty online and Cryorig got back to me very fast so super plus on the company. Also this really REALLY keeps my CPU nice. and comfy.

This is the first time I had used a Cryorig cooler. Compared with the Hyper 212 Evo, this heatsink is significantly smaller with a marginal difference in cooling performance. Even with the smaller dimensions, the included fan is still very quiet. The paste that comes with it is Cryorig's own CP15, a rather decent paste.

from completed build Finally some good f**** SFF
Quiet tower cooler that can fit into cases that are ment for stock downdraft coolers only. Great in sff cases. I still wish that the 92mm fan could be bigger but it is already kissing my ram.

AMAZING CPU COOLER!!! I've already used the R1 Universal and was very happy with it so I got this M9a for my Plex Media Server rebuild and it is absolutely perfect for my needs. VERY quiet, small, compact and clean looking. Cryorig, you make amazing Coolers and I will continue to use your products for every one of my future computer builds!

I did find the installation a bit finicky, but again because I didn't take the motherboard out of the case- the instructions suggest you take the motherboard out. The fan for the heatsink isn't easy to remove, but I guess that's actually a good thing. The heatsink comes with rubber strips (2) installed for both sound and vibration. this thing is SILENT. compared to the stock cooler it's practically inaudible. It cools well and sits 15 degrees idle minimum. The fan even has a good quality black braided chassis cord. cheaper than the EVO, and comparable performance. It also isn't anywhere near as big, doesn't cover my RAM and with these factors (plus the fact it's very aesthetically pleasing) it gets my 5 stars. The fan comes with brackets and rubber strips if you wish to install another fan, thought that was a plus too.
