I really wanted to rate this higher, it's a great board, especially for the price. But neither the HDMI nor DisplayPort works. And on top of that, the included M.2 Shield is a clever thought, but in reality it's an SSD electric blanket. DON'T USE THE M.2 SHIELD. My SSD wasn't performing as quickly as I expected, and after about 5 seconds of research I discovered that test have shown the shield to act as an insulator. Sure enough, I opened my rig up and the shield was blazing hot. SSD runs much better without it.

Comes with LEDs, nothing to special, tad bit of a pain to install, but it has a clean look and does its job, no problems with it thus far.

If you want a motherboard that does what a lot of the high end motherboards do, get this one. It's almost a steal for everything you're getting for a price that's under $200. It also has small, subtle RGB LEDs throughout the board so it looks sexy in almost any build as well. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this board.
Make sure to have the manual though. It's your best friend when it comes to connecting things like external speakers, and wiring inside the chassis.

It supports Sli, it supports Raid, and it's all black!! s Rgb's on this board are discreet not to flashy. All connectors are in the right place, enough fan headers. and I love sata ports and usb 3.0 being at an angle made cables look so neat. Highly recommended!!

Giving it 3 stars for a big miss in my opinion. The onboard audio. It's downright horrible. The Nahimic software is a joke that barely made a difference. I came from an Asus Maximus VII Hero with Supremefx. Not the best audio in the world, but good enough for me and my Logitech X-540s. Youtube videos sounded flat and ingame positional was so bad that if you're not directly facing the NPC you can't hear anything. Other games where I knew there was dialogue, I can only hear a mumble. This was after messing with Nahimic, before then I couldn't even hear that. The killer was listening to a podcast. It sounded like the guy was recording it underwater. No changes to Nahimic helped. Loaded up the podcast on my work computer and it was crystal clear. Went back to this comp, changed from 5.1 to stereo and everything sounded better albeit weak.
Bought an Asus Xonar DGX for $30 and solved the problem. I was tempted to sell the mobo and go with the Maximus X, that's how bad the onboard is. But, the other pros kept the mobo for me. Especially the bios, fan controls, and temp. Which, lets be honest, that's why we invest in a good mobo and not the cheap ones. The Asus loaded the same podcast above and had no issues. Ingame seems fine. Hard to believe a mobo that advertises its audio quality has such a miss, but oh well.
I would recommend this mobo but you will need a sound card.

full featured mobo with high quality inside, even the I/O cover dont look cheap so that great, but -1 for bad rgb led function, no speed or brightness control (option are visible but disable i hope its a software issue)

GREAT motherboard, beautiful to look at, and the bios is really simple and intuitive. u can store OC profiles, set fan behavior and even dowvolt non-PWM fans to make them less noisy.

Good RGB and love the bios, but one of the caseings that protects the pins for the USB 3.0 headers came off during building. Wasn't a huge deal though because you can just slide it back on fairly easily.

This board has a nice look to it, and the added MSI Mystic Light is a great touch! Easy to install, and easy access to all components.

A very well made and good performing motherboard,
Overclocking is very easy and it does a extremely good job at getting stable clocks
and pushing for the highest clocks with lowest voltages.
I can't quite make out any negative criticism about this board as its just so perfect in my opinion!
It has a lot of headers and SATA outputs so it's no worries.
I really like the design and the carbon fiber style it has, fits my build very well!
