I love the case no doubt! This by far was the first thing that I looked into and chose for my build before anything else.
Pros: Silent with a very clean look. You are also given a lot of options and headroom when it comes to building and changing things within the build. The cable management was very easy to deal with even for first time builders. You are able to hook up and place different placements as to when you want to run your cables.
Cons: First thing the top vent when you are able to add a 140mm fan then you are given a few mill gap on the side. That overall didn't side well with me. I initially wanted at least for that to be covered so dust wouldn't have been an issue. Luckily Demcifilter made actual filters for this case.
Another thing is the side panel window. Jesus! The case looks amazing but I never understood why they cheaped out on the window panel. You can hardly see the back end of your gpu if you didn't look close enough. Overall aesthetically this is one of the downers to the r5 as it won't really show of the merchandise inside the case. But I still love it no doubt! :)

This case is exactly what I was looking for. This case a big minimalistic black box that stays quiet no matter what is going on inside.

This is a great case for any level of builder. After working on my White Widow build in the NZXT s340, this thing was like working in a basketball court compared to a closet. Plenty of room for water cooling if you want. Great cable management routes and tie points. The fans that come with the case work really well and they are surprisingly very quiet. In case you are curious they are 140mm fans, which I think is a nice touch considering the price point of this case.
It comes with air filters on the front and full length of the bottom of the case. Both easily accessible. The bottom filter is accessible from the front of the case so you don't have to access it from the back. Great job fractal.
It will fit anything you can throw at it. Plenty of room for even the largest of graphics cards. However you might have to remove the center drive bay cage if your card is too long. 12" of clearance with the drive bays installed. 18" without the drive bays installed.
Its modular design is great. You can remove both hard drive cages and the 5.25" drive bays. But at that point you might as well go with the Define S. The top covers are also removable in sections so can remove what you need.
I've seen a large number of builds lately on this site using this case, and for good reason. Buy it.

I really love this case, VERY easy to build in, great cable management (I know I didn't show mine but that's because of me being lazy) It looks fine, I'm just too lazy to turn it around and take the panel off and take a picture. Sue me.
I don't like the fact that mine was shipped with stripped screw holes for the GPU brackets. GPU 2 is not 100% screwed in and it bothers me so much.
I wish the window was bigger or if that Define S window was compatible but it is not. :(

First and best case I've ever had. ...I suppose all of these parts are the first of them I've ever had. But this is a really, really nice case. Everything is clearly thought out a lot by Fractal. No sharp edges; all hard drive cages and optical drive bays are removable; and the grommeted slots are placed well for anything that you could need to run a cable through. The front door's hinges can be switched to the other side, which is very nice. The design has no flashy aspects though; I guess it's a mature case choice. Overall it's great. -Afterthought- Mature it may be, but I guess I ruined that part with the LED lights. Whatever. I'm 15. I like shiny things.

There's Just One Flaw With This Case That Annoys The Hell Out Of Me, The Fact That The Holes For Radiators Located At The Front Of The Case Are Pre-Aligned. There aren't any slots for users to manually adjust the height of the radiator like there is for smaller radiators. The dust filters do a really good job, the sound dampening panels greatly reduce noise, big clear easy to scratch window, supports up to 6x fans, and has a built-in 3pin fan hub that supports up to three fans.

I've never fancied the idea of spending more than $50 on a chassis but after reading review after review, I knew ponying up the extra cash would be worth it. The versatility with drive placement, cable management, and sound dampening design that this case offers made the choice for me for this chassis.
