Replacing my 5 year old, Maxed out game/business rig.

This is my first build in nearly 7 years. My last PC i bought and then just upgraded and upgraded but now it is at its max. I would like to build a system that will be my game rig, home office (VPN to work) and entertainment (PLEX server). I'm not a heavy gamer but I do play Crysis, Borderlands and every racing game. My budget was $1200 but I blew that away, Now its about $1800. I have already spent $450 on case, fans, fan controller, wire sleeves, LEDs, keyboard and mouse. I wan to keep this build for at least 5 years just like my present one (btw its being handed down to my dad).

Lastly, I already have a new 256GB SSD that I'm taking from my current system.

Any helpful comments appreciated.

Motherboard is good for the longevity you are looking for. I would recommend getting a gtx 980 now or just wait a month to see AMD's offering.
