Main difference is the CPU, it comes with a cooler and is all you need for gaming (though you can use your own cooler if you want). Also an extra GTX 970. If you're playing games at 1080p then you only need one GTX 970 but if you're going 1440p or higher you should grab two. The case is similar to yours, so either is fine. Got Windows 8.1 as 7 is quickly becoming obsolete, with software designed for 8.1 and sometimes not even released on 7.

The i7 is only worth the extra money if you're doing heavy editing. The i5 is for gaming and general computer use.
