Will My PC Still Work?

So when I was applying my CPU cooler (which had thermal paste pre-applied), I accidentally misplaced the CPU cooler and some of the thermal paste got on the cpu. I reapplied my cpu cooler with no difficulty after but my question is will my pc still function correctly?

I don't quite understand. Thermal paste got on the top of the CPU(the metal part, or IHS)? If that is the case, you should be fine. If it got on the socket or motherboard, just don't power anything until you clean it off.
