Need most parts filled in

  • Budget: I would like to do this for under $500.
  • Location: Worcester County, Massachusetts
  • Use (gaming, rendering, etc): Gaming primarily and programming secondarily (mostly for school).
  • Peripherals required (monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc): None
  • Operating System required: None

I'm experienced with computers and putting everything together but I've never spec'd out a computer before.

I have a usb mouse, keyboard, video cards, monitors, and a 3TB Harddrive with Windows 7 (I believe it's Western Digital but I don't recall. It's quite a few years old at this point), and RAM. I am not at home currently so I don't know the specific parts ID's.

So all you really need is a power supply, motherboard, case, and cpu? Probably an SSD too. If you don't mind me asking which particular GPU do you have?

Seconding. And what RAM? If it's DDR3 it won't work with new parts, for example.
