If your going with a high Hz, 1080p monitor I would recommend intel with a decent 1080p GPU.

Any particular reason why intel over amd?

ImperiousBattlestar 1 point 6 days ago

Intel has higher single core speed.

Thankyou. Im looking now at maybe an intel i5 8400 just as its a bit cheaper than the 8600k. Would you think thats viable?

Hi crofter. Ive changed up my build slightly per your suggestion to change to intel cpu. Here it is https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Thegibboning/saved/#view=TB4RJx Do you still recommend the 1080 gtx and 8600k?

  • No need for a Z370 with a locked chip
  • Better PSU
  • Larger SSD (120GB will be eaten up quickly)

Nice thankyou. Ill go back to the drawing board haha

Thegibboning submitter 1 point 5 days ago

Any recommendations for the motherboard? The build also includes a 1tb hdd

DankMemeLord12345 1 point 6 days ago

Micro ATX board in a ATX mid tower might look a bit small, but that's just personal preference though.

Thanks for the tip. Im switching to an intel cpu so ill look at getting a bigger motherboard to suit intel
