So there’s a killer deal on Newegg right now for a crosshair six WiFi ac for 170. I’m planing on buying a r5 2600x and a Corsair 3000 MHz rgb pro cas 16 ram 2x8gb set. I was wondering if I’d have any issues with compatibility? I’ve been told that there’s a button to update the bios without a cpu, but how does that work? And is ryzen memory support for x370 better now, or is it still rather exclusive to find ram that works perfectly? Thanks!

You should first update the BIOS with the flash back feature that this board supports, before you install that processor.

How to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1038568

  • Note: Not forget to connect the 24 pin power cable from your PSU to the motherboard

I don't know if these Ram modules are fully compatible (and will work at 3200Mhz) on that board, as the QVL list is quite old.

And is Ryzen memory support for x370 better now,?

AGESA update 1.0.0.6 applies to all AMD chip-set boards. So memory compatibility should be better.
