Installing a new Chipset Driver

Hi Everybody,

While doing my new install, I noticed there was a new chipset for my ASUS x470 Prime Pro motherboard. There is a notice on the download stating that "Due to the different structure for drivers, suggest you remove the old driver first before install this version driver."

So, since this is a new install, is there actually anything for me to uninstall before I load the new driver? I have an AMD 2600X processor. I noticed in the device manager, there are 6 records under the cpu. I guess one for each core. Am I supposed to go here and delete all of the records? Should I even worry about updating my chipset driver?

Thanks, Phil

No.
That statement is for those who installed chipset drivers supplied by their mobo manufacturer/Intel.
