Moving Windows 10 User Folders

Hi Everybody,

I have a question about the user folders in Windows 10. Specifically, if running an SSD, does anyone migrate any or all of these folders to another drive? With my last build, I just migrated the document, download, pictures, music and video folders of each user account to another drive and I left the public folders alone (the public folders seem to be quite troublesome to move).

However I found this guide that moves the whole users folder:

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1964-move-users-folder-location-windows-10-a.html

Do you think something like this is a good idea or will I run into issue later wheninstalling programs or updates?

Thanks, Phil

The last comment on the page you linked says that the method described no longer works. Also, there seems to be a potential for problems if you move all of a user's folders to another drive, because some programs expect things like AppData to be on the C: drive.
