Nope but I'm mining Ethereum which also hit a record high of its own. It's currently sitting over $500. Really wish I'd pulled the trigger on BTC when it was $2K at the beginning of the summer.

Ah no wonder when I checked the availability of AMD cards the other day they were all rising in price again...

sigh...

So I’ve got two Vega cards I’m selling because my PC refuses to work correctly with them. I’ve tested the cards in another PC and it works fine but in my main PC they crash playing any game after 3-4hours.

I’m getting an RX 570 till I can either sell both, get one to work with it, or change my hardware again.

I wish, I was contemplating purchasing an ASIC (one of the cheaper ones, maybe like the AntMiner S7) which (if my math is right) should make a little over .029 BTC/month. Which is about 300+$/m. Considering the AntMiner S7 costs 400-500$ it would pay for it self in 2-3months (counting electricity costs) {about 90$/m}

The temptation is real, i think all just stick with mining on my gpu in the off time though.

i had a decent bit back like 3-5 years ago but I spent most of it over time on PC parts and other things from Newegg. I have very little left only worth about 1.5k. Not enough for anything cool to happen.

Now that I am older and established, my investments are in more sound markets.

I bet those new pc parts are treating you well though.

I have a couple of thousand pounds invested into it. I only jumped into the bandwagon again at around $7500 so while a decent profit which I kept an earlier amount i had invested a while back! Also some in ripple though not significant, just to see how it pans out.

I am however mining etherium. Not a massive rig, but it looks to be doing okay as is and hopefully the price for it goes up and had gpus sitting around doing nothing anyways.

Here comes the GPU inflation....

gpu prices are not affected by bitcoin prices as far as i know.

Bitcoin mining on GPU's has been long dead, GPU's aren't good enough for it anymore to return a profit.

Good. Can I get an RX 470 for a decent price now? lol

Nope, there are other types of mining and the prices are still higher than normal due to the last mining craze.

I have a buddy who made a couple grand off Bitcoin already, and it's all he talks about. Meanwhile, there's me, wanting to be rich and not wanting to risk it lol..

Someone I know has at least $10,000 worth of bitcoin, he's saving more.

Yeah I'm really kicking myself for not buying in earlier this year. I know someone who has $60K in Bitcoin now. He bought it a ways back with Litecoin, which he mined.

It actually rose all the way to $19,000 yesterday but seems to have had its first significant drop in two weeks today.
