i7 8700k ($370) Black Friday final review

So been playing with this build for a few months and finally pulled the trigger tonight on the i7 8700k with Amazon ($370.. go get it quick). Let me know if you have any final comments/recommendations. A few weeks quick notes/comments:

Monitors: Dell will have these at $399 on Black Friday. Not sure if I see the value of 4K at that low of a price point. Video Card: Debating on either keeping my 970 GTX until the Volta comes out or see if there is a great deal on a 1080ti. What's your thoughts? Motherboard: Wifi isn't that important for me, but front USB 3.0 header is for the case Power supply: Recieved from a friend before he left Frys. I know it's overkill.

You can get Dell monitors for half the price that are 2560x1440 and 165Hz. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CwgPxr/dell-s2417dg-238-165hz-monitor-s2417dg

I agree that this is better value. Also, I would say get a 1 TB hdd. 250 gb runs out faster than you might think.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I'll be carrying over a 1TB HDD and an extra 250gb SSD from my current build.

You just saved me $100. Had to make it as two separate purchases as Best Buy limited it to one per order. I owe you a drink of choice if you're in the Knoxville, TN area.

It wouldn't surprise me if we see Newegg and B&H move their prices up also if Amazon is up that high.

I lied $460, but it's only 3rd party sellers right now.

The Dell S2716DGR is the exact same as the DG the R stands for retail. They are at best buy for $349.99

Thanks for the double tap, but Mindmixer already gave me the heads up and I purchased them. One surprising thing is that this deal wasn't advertised in their paper inserts. But good to know this community looks out for each other.

Just got notification my two units shipped. Time to cross my fingers and hope the shipping gods carry those packages on a bed of air.

The boxes are hefty and have a lot of internal cardboard, and a foam barrier under the screen.
