Headphones/Gaming hs recommendation

Hello,

Recommend me headphones or a gaming headset for playing games and listening to music on my pc. Would it be a better idea to get good headphones and get a microphone separately? I hear a lot of people say that gaming headsets are trash, and you're better off just getting quality headphones. I don't have a specific budget.. just want to get the best bang for my buck!

Thank you!!

Yeah it's better to get good headphones and get a microphone separately.

I use a pair of Philips SHP9500S Headphones with a Blue Snowball iCE Microphone / Boom Scissor Arm & Pop filter.

The headphones are open back, they leak sound, so if you have the volume up other people can hear what you are listening too. But I love them for FPS games, I can hear where every sound is exactly coming from. I'm just waiting for someone to say that I'm hacking because I knew where they were.

If you like you could turn the headphones into a headset by buying a V-MODA BoomPro
