So I have never built a PC and a friend of mine is willing to show me how. I am somewhat familiar with the parts but he does know a lot more then me. My dilemma is I came up with a build that is significantly cheaper then his and showed it to him. He seemed to be offended by this, but again I am the one fronting the cost. I posted the 2 builds below and from what I understand they will have very similar performance but mine is $200 cheaper. Anyone let me know if I am wrong or missing something?

Thanks

get the i5 rig if this system is just for gaming how ever get the i7 5820k if you are going to do stuff like video editing 3d modeling/rendering and all that workstation stuff also for the 1070 DO NOT get the founders edition card is a more expensive reference version with poor cooling

Oh okay I am new here so I didnt know where is best to post. It will mainly be used for gaming and some video streaming but I am not doing any editing of the sorts. The PSU I already bought and is in my current build which I will just re-use. Thanks for the info!
