This is for a friend and I was wondering what your guys' inputs would be. Some games that would be played are Arma 3, DayZ, Fallout, etc... Things that are needed to go with the build are a monitor, keyboard and mouse. No operating system. And budget is 800, don't really want to go over, thanks!

This should do pretty well.

Compared to the other list, this build has much faster ram and a better GPU. Plus, the dust filters on the SW aren't total trash like on the 200R, and it has a decently-priced monitor. The 2400MHz ram in the other list will be choked back to 1600MHz on the h97 chipset (ignoring the poor quality of the anniversary board), and will end up just being another slow CL11 set.

I like all of your choices here. Honestly nothing I would really change at all, and when I made a build list it was pretty much like this, but you managed to improve! Will show him and see what he thinks, thanks :)

Thanks! A 390 would be ideal, but it'd be tough unless you made some sacrifices. The 380x will be a great card, though.

Yes especially since he cares more for frames than playing per say on ultra settings. Willing to sacrifice some looks for better frames.

Hmm, with the way the price trends are at the moment for power supplies, it's not possible to get a 390 without raising the budget to 850ish and/or getting a totally trashy case.
